An adorable tale of unlikely friends, bravery, and adventure. In this lovely graphic novel, you follow Garlic and her other veggie friends as she faces off against a mysterious vampire! Not everything or everyone are as they seem in the valley and Garlic learns that you should never judge a book by its cover. This book is absolutely delightful and you'll find yourself falling in love with the characters, story, and art style.

You’ll lose sleep over this King novel; not just for the horror, but from the inability to put the book down. Suspenseful, shocking, and horrifying; this book will keep you guessing and hungry for answers. A must read for any fan of Stephen King and horror in general.
A terrifying tale from the perspective of a lonely and troubled man named Ted, his house-bound teenage daughter, and his bible loving cat. You know from the start that Ted keeps a terrible secret buried out amongst the trees behind his boarded up home on Needless Street. Finding out what that secret is however, requires you to wade through a tale that explores themes of mental illness, freedom, obsession, abuse, and most importantly healing. Though the harrowing narrative is split between the points of view of Ted, his daughter, his cat, and a girl on the hunt for her missing sister, the author writes in such a way that a cohesive story is formed. While in the beginning it can be confusing and jarring to absorb the story from different people and points of time, as you read on all the pieces fall into place. You end up having many “ah-ha” moments, only to have what you think you know ripped out from under you. This book is unique to the point that I can confidently say that I've never read anything quite like it. I can only compare it to the masterful world building and disturbing imagery of author Stephen King. I can confidently assure you that you wont regret the time you spend with the fascinating characters within its pages. I myself spent a few nights up far too late, unable to put it down as I was absorbed into every last page. This is easily one of my new favorite books and I am not ashamed to say that once I reached the last page, I cried. I cannot sing the praises of this book enough.
This book left me glancing over my shoulder in my own home. A perfect blend of spine chilling horror and uncomfortable, yet necessary social commentary. Though the story is split up between four different points of view, the story flows without interruption. A must read for lovers of horror and ghost stories.
If an issue of Southern Living Magazine was set in Tom Holland's “Fright Night.” Hilarious yet dark, this book had me *sucked in* long before there were even any vampires involved! Reading this book reminded me of Christopher Moore’s hilarious “Bloodsucking Fiends” trilogy. Between “The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires” and “My Best Friend's Exorcism,'' Grady Hendrix is without a doubt one of my new favorite authors. You’ll love to *sink your teeth* into this book.
Paranoia, conspiracy, and action all coalesce in Hendrix's newest novel. This book addresses the American obsession with slasher films and horror movies. But what about the victims left behind? What if the girls that survived all odds start getting picked off one by one years after the incidents they survived? Well, Lynnette Tarkington wont go down so easy, even when it seems the world is against her. In a non-stop whirlwind of change, healing and strength, we watch Lynnette grow as a person from a final girl into a better woman.
Stella’s family has a god. A real, living god called “The Ghostdaddy” that resides in the mountain near their family farm. Stella is a Revelator, a woman from her family line that can talk to the god and relay his will. But not all is as it seems with her family and The Ghostdaddy. Stella will not rest until she uncovers the truth about her role and the true intent of the god in the mountain. Set in the 1930’s and close to home in the deep south, this a haunting, beautiful, and mysterious tale that keeps its terrible secrets to the very end. This is whiteout a doubt one of my top 3 favorite books.
