It started out interesting, and I was dying to see more of what "The King in Yellow" did to people...and then it's like Chambers forgot what he had set out to do.

Interesting enough premise; I'll read the sequel but won't need to get it on release day.

I haven't re-read these books in about fifteen years. I laughed, was angry and worried, and cheered again.

Fast paced, engaging...and based on a true story! The romance is a little forced, but forgivable.

As a game prequel, it was all right. However, and this might just be me, the Riddler's puzzles were very hard to decipher in written words and would have been much easier to see in pictures.

Such fun. A great many twists and turns. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Unlike any other mystery series I have read, this one very much assumed the reader was familiar with all of the main character's previous adventures. More than that, the author seemed to have suddenly learned a great deal about theoretical physics and decided that was going to be crucial to a plot. Said plot was, quite frankly, difficult to suss out, and the ending was so unsatisfying that it almost felt as though Grimes got to the end and was like "well, I'm tapped out."
