Not my favorite Dickens novel, but worthy of five sticky-note chuckles.

Abandoned. Just couldn't finish it.

If I was a less-experienced reader, I probably would have enjoyed this book immensely. As it was, the writing was more telling than showing, and the number of coincidences would have made Mr. Dickens proud.

A super-informative, fun, well-written book that traces the history of our study of DNA. Lots of interesting tidbits to mull over as well. Going on my "to own" list.

If you like meta, or the Thursday Next series, you will enjoy this.

While I wouldn't call myself the target audience, I enjoyed the author's style. Also, the main character's tick was unexpected and well done.
