⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Second Chance Stars

Oh my goodness i LOVED this story!

I just love a second chance love story, and this one has it all in spades.

Single mother Kennedy works as an assistant manager in a grocery store, her and Jonathan Cunningham were High School sweethearts.

Jonathan was an aspiring actor and tried his best to go to auditions and break into the industry, unfortunately it didn't go so well for him, until Kennedy steps in to help.

She manages to get him an audition with a big director/producer after an accidental coffee spill in a cafe, and after that.......enter Jonny Cunning!

Only after that, Jonny AKA Jonathan becomes a bit of a douche and starts drinking and taking drugs, this obviously doesn't go down too well in the home that him and Kennedy have created, and she puts up with it as long as she can, but it eventually becomes too much for her, and she leaves him, even though she is pregnant!

Kennedy goes back home to live with her dad, and Jonathan? Well Jonny becomes the next big thing, starring in a Super Hero franchise (think Batman/Spiderman big)

Kennedy sees him in all of the fancy magazines living it up and flaunting his new girlfriend, and EVERYONE loves him!

She manages to block most of it out, until they come to film his new movie in her home town, thats when the brown stuff hits the fan!

Jonny obviously knows he has a kid, but apart from sending a cheque every month, has never had anything to do with it, when i say it, i mean her, his daughter Maddie, who is ADORABLE.

The thing is, Maddie doesn't know who her dad is, and who is her favourite super hero of all time......yep you guessed it ......

🎧🎧Narrated by the always awesome, sexy voiced #AndCock Joe Arden and the brilliant Maxine Mitchell, this book would have been a one click for me just because of the narrators, but the story was brought to life by these 2 perfect story tellers, i am awed (and a little bit in love) with both of them 😍😍

I didn't hate this one, but i didn't love it either, i may have to come back and re-rate it, i'm not sure.

The thing is, i didn't believe the story, i felt sorry for Octavia throughout the whole thing, he was literally just using her as a booty call, and although she knew this she still kept going back.

Now i put that down to her being immature, considering she was only 18, however he was a grown assed 30 year old adult and should have known better!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bro Code Stars

Well this little audio book was a delight to listen to!

Barrett Wilson and Ava have known each other for years, the reason for this is because he is best friends with her brother Nick, this is becoming a bit of a problem because Barrett has a crush on Ava.

When he goes to stay with Nick for a few days over the holidays, Barrett didn't think for a minute that Ava would be there, however when he gets there who should open the door?

Barrett knows that he shouldn't even entertain the idea of having a relationship of any kind with his best friends little sister, no , he must follow the Bro Code and leave well alone........accept it doesn't quite work out that way, an unbeknown to him, Ava has also had a childhood crush on Barrett for years.

🎧🎧 The audio book was different for me, and i have come to realise that i'm not a great fan of Duet narration, which is what this was done in.

The difference is:

DUEL narration 1 person reads a POV or chapter, and reads both parts, male and female.

DUET narration is the male narrating his parts, and the female narrating hers, regardless of chapter, it was a little too busy for me.

However it was made up by having the sexy tones of Zachary Webber who could quite frankly read the phone book and make it sound delicious, and lovely narration by Ava Erikson

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heartbreaking Stars

Oh my goodness this book certainly hits you right in the feels!

This is all about the story of Richard and Karina, they were married for a while, but it all kind of went pear-shaped and they split a few years ago, they have a daughter between them, Grace, who is currently at University, and doesn't really have much to do with her father.

Richard is a pianist, a really famous concert pianist, he has played all over the world, and has many fans and admirers, Richard loves this, he loves that fact that people love him, he is quite an arrogant man.

Karina is also a pianist, she prefers Jazz, she gave up her dream as a performer to support Richard in his dream.
The thing is, Richard took advantage of this, while he was away playing with the orchestra, Karina was looking after their new baby, Richard however was looking after his own needs with other women!

Karina couldn't take it anymore, and rightly left him!

Richard is unfortunately diagnosed with ALS, he tries his best to cope with it on his own for a while, but after a strange twist of fate and a wrong number dialled, Karina ends up being his carer.

This book pulls no punches in relation to this awful disease, it starts from the twitching in the muscles, and takes us through every terrible thing that can happen after diagnosis, like the wheelchair, or the fact that your body locks itself, or that you can't swallow, or that you have the option of recording your own voice and "banking" it, because after a while you won't be able to talk / eat / chew anymore.

A big shout out also has to go for the guys who help care for people diagnosed with ALS, they are angels in a time of hell for the person with this awful disease, their time and patience with these people is remarkable.

You may know a little about ALS, like seeing Stephen Hawkins, or you took part in the ice Bucket challenge to raise money for it.

You may have first hand experience of this silent killer, I luckily for one have not, but i sure do send my hugs & prayers to anyone that has.

Not everyone is like Stephen Hawkins, in fact ALS will probably kill within 3 years, it is a devastating disease, and i hope one day that we find a cure, because currently there is NOTHING!

I didn't realise that [a:Lisa Genova|978484|Lisa Genova|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1410537635p2/978484.jpg] was a neuroscientist, but after reading [b:Still Alice|2153405|Still Alice|Lisa Genova|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1236089972s/2153405.jpg|2158906] & this book, it kind of makes sense, she knows exactly what she is talking about, and pulls no punches and rightly makes no apologies for it.

It broke my heart, but i am am so glad i read it

Prepare yourself for this one, it's a tough read

Omg these 2 are just so freaking cute together 😍😍😍

⭐⭐⭐⭐🌠 Rock Star Stars

Well this book was a complete surprise, one minute i was laughing my head off, then my heart was in my mouth, and then i was sobbing!

BB takes a story about her life and lets you take a glimpse inside what it is like to fall in love with a Rock Star, the good times, and inevitably, the bad.

She is very honest in her stories and this makes her very relatable as we've all been a 17 year old in love.

And in those 17 years this woman has had to put up with some shitty times, she was in an abusive relationship with what can only be described as a nutter.

Then she meets Hans Oppenheimer, and all of the feelings of first love come flooding in, the butterflies, the giddyness, the swooning!

Hans managed to make a beaten down girl into a strong independant woman, and even though her love didn't last with him, she states at the beginning of the book that she will always be grateful to him because of this.

I love her secondary characters, and Trip was such a lovable weirdo, although i googled Bukkake porn, and i will never be the same again 😱😱

🎧🎧 Narration was done by Romana Master and was fab, she really made a funny quirky character come to life.

Thank you BB for the opportunity to read such a fabulous book.
