I'm not sure about this book, I enjoyed it but most of the time I was just angry with the MC's.
Lying is bad, lying to your best friends is even worse, and this book is just based on lies.
Stephanie is best friends with James and Lindon, she had a thing once with James but it didn't really work out and they have been best friends ever since, there are no feelings there....at her end.
She has a bit of a crush on Lindon but there are no feelings at his end for her......or so she thinks!
One pinky swear later about getting married when they are 30 if they are both still single, and the sh*t hits the fan.

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly
Just a little change
Small, to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the Beast
Now firstly let me say that I received this audio book free in exchange for an honest review.
When you read this book you must throw your instalove radar out of the windows, it is a remaking of a fairy story after all :•)
I loved this story so much, it was very well written and the narrator did a great job with all of the characters.
Savannah Carmichael has moved back home to her parents house after a major cock up causing her to be fired from her journalism job in the city, she is feeling very sorry for herself and very angry with the person that stabbed her in the back, considering she was in love with them.
After hiding herself away for a while she gets a call from an old friend, an opportunity to work for another newspaper in Phoenix gives her the chance to "get back in the saddle", the only thing is that she used to be an investigative reporter, and her new boss wants a "Human Interest" piece, but hey she can do this and then move up the ladder right?
Not really knowing what to write about, her sister mentions the local hermit that lives in the big house in town, he is a war veteran who suffered severe injuries and hasn't been seen in years, and so her sights are set.
After getting the balls to knock on his door (with a plate of brownies) she manages to convince Asher Lee to let her write a piece about him.
Asher Lee has severe injuries from his time serving in Afghanistan, and is very nervous about having any other human interaction than what he has with his housekeeper, he is embarrassed to show his face as one half of it is very scarred and he has only one arm, he finds himself very drawn to Savannah and surprisingly comfortable with her.
After agreeing to interview him a few days a week Savannah begins to see Asher in a different light and they start to become friends.
This friendship begins to turn into something else that they both feel and become something more, much to the dismay of everyone else around her.
But what will happen to the piece she is writing?
This was a heart warming story that I thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely read again.

Be warned, the steam factor in this one is OFF THE CHART!! 🔥
I kept hearing about this one in a Facebook group that I am in, so I had to see what all the fuss was about.
Greer Galloway is the granddaughter of a previous American Vice President so she knows a thing or two about politics, her grandfather uses this to his benefit as she is small and cute, and is able to flit around the room unnoticed during parties, while simultaneously gaining information about people for him, by listening to their private conversations.....sneaky!
Fast forward a few years, Greer is quite an expert in reading peoples faces from the groundwork she has done for her grandfather.
At one of these parties she meets a man called Ash, he is handsome and kind to her, considering she is always in the shadow of her gorgeous best friend.
Greer and Ash share a kiss, nothing else, just a kiss, she is only 15 after all, she doesn't see him again, until later on.
6 years later she is at yet another party, and meets a hot young dude called Embry, now Greer is upset that Ash is also at the party but hasn't either recognised her, or is ignoring her, so what is a girl to do right?
Embry deflowers Greer and she realises that she kinda likes him, but Embry is a bit of a playboy douche and that all goes out of the window.......or does it?
Did I forget to mention that Ash is now the President of the good ol US of A, and certainly hasn't forgotten about Greer. Sorry about that........
Oh and before I forget.......Embry is his Vice President!!!!! 😱
Both men want her, she wants both men, I mean what is a young hot girl to do 😇
If erotica reads are not your bag then do not even attempt to read this, your kindle WILL set on fire or explode with hotness🔥🔥
If you like audio, well ladies (and gents) you are in for a smexy treat, Sephanie Rose gives a great narration, and heats up those hot parts to nuclear level!!
Be warned, you will need to have book 2 lines up for immediate start, this ends on a MAHOOSIVE cliffhanger, but it is ooohhh so good.
Drop what you are doing and get started in this series, you won't be disappointed!!

Did I read the wrong book??? 5☆ ratings from almost everyone that read it!!!!
I don't get it....
Where shall I begin with this book.......?
This may be a long one so I suggest you get a cup of tea before you start!
If ever there was a candidate for The Jeremy Kyle show THIS BOOK is it!!
I have eye strain from rolling my eyes every 5 minutes listening to this bag of crap!
I may shout and use naughty words once or twice in this review, if this offends you then I apologise and advise you not to read any further, you have been warned.
I liked the beginning of the book, Nell and Kyle being best friends and then boyfriend and girlfriend..... BUT he dies......We all know it's gonna happen......It tells you in the book blurb before you even start reading it, so I can't see the point of even meeting him, really nice as he is!
After that the shit hits the fan!
At the funeral of her boyfriend/nearly fiance she is a walking zombie, no feelings no grieving. .....then she spots Colton, Kyles older brother.
Now this is where the plot sort of goes wrong for me, Nell and Kyle grew up together but she has never met him once.......REALLY???
ok so I'll let that one go...
The 2nd day after her boyfriends death( remember the no feelings bit?) Colton brushes her skin.......and she feels electricity. ....again, REALLY??? 2 days after???. (eye roll 1)
Anyway let's move on............2 years later ....Yawn
Nell has moved to New York ...(no reason why, you know just for shits and giggles) and is now a guitar playing drunken cutter, who happens to sit next to ......yep you guessed it Colton, in a park....who happens to also be playing the guitar. .....WHAT ARE THE CHANCES? ???? (eye roll 2)
She sings a song, and obviously doesn't sound anything like a drowning cat, no she has the sound of an angel, bleeuurrgh, and he sounds like .....god I don't know a male equivalent of Eva Cassidy or something, anyway they sound perfect together (eye roll 3) so she does the obvious thing and runs away!!
Now because she looks like a fucking supermodel and has the voice of an angel Colton has been pining after her for 2 years...... (remember the electricity from before?)
He runs after her, goes into her apartment without being asked and perves on her getting changed, ewww. Anyway he's got rippling muscles and perfect YA book hair and eyes so it's all ok reader don't panic!
Later on ... (and we don't know how later on as time is not an important thing in this book) they meet again in a bar, however he is singing on stage (eye roll 4) and she is with another man.
He is pissed off with the "ogre" laying his hands on her, goes out for a little stroll (at 3 o'clock in the morning) and just happens to end up at her apartment. (god my eyes are starting to cross with all of the rolling).
Previously mentioned Ogre is propositioning Nell and she is saying NO ........queue attempted rape, Super Colton to the rescue, fighting, blood and a near dead body, but all is ok, as Colton calls up one of his "Homeboys" to sort out the situation.
After the near rape she goes back to Coltons house and falls asleep, there he undresses her, while she is asleep, and can't help himself and touches her lovely thighs?? REALLY?? AFTER SHE WAS NEARLY RAPED?????
But it doesn't matter dear reader as she gets her own back by giving him a handjob while he is sleeping!!!! Yep you read that right, she hand rapes him while he is sleeping, nice!
Anyway after that she cries, he deflowers her bum and he's good at oral so alls good!
But it's not.....GOD THIS BOOK!!
It's like the author sat and wrote a list of all the shitty things that could ever happen to someone, tried to put a couple in somewhere in the story, and then just thought Fuck It I'm going to put them all in !
No wonder Nell cut herself, I mean really??
Colton went from being a quite nicely articulated boy, to a badass beat-the-shit-out-of-you Home Boy with "connections" to gangs, with a little BDSM expertise thrown in!
Angst angst angst, sex sex sex, boohoo boohoo, I'm no good, I'm an asshole, I can't grieve yarghhhhh! !!
And then when you think that it is going to be a HEA she socks it to you again ..... not good Jasinda, not good at all..........See me after class.
A bit fat D Minus.

Over the weekend I read #4, #5 & #6 and jumped straight into #7, I just can't seem to get enough of Dex & Perry!!
After the mahoosive cliffhanger of #4 I had to find out what happened to poor Perry after that breakup, my heart broke for her throughout this book.
The poor girl had declared her undying love for Dex and basically had it thrown back in her face, oh yeah then she had to deal with the douchecanoe (her words) that was Maximus!! I mean what else could go wrong..................oh yeah, she gets possessed !!
Can't wait to get stuck into #7 especially as it is written from Dex's POV........Squeeeeeeeee ! !!

Loved this book, my first but not last read of Sophie Kinsella.
This had me laughing out loud a lot of times.
Emma is on a flight that hits turbulence, Emma is a nervous flyer, a very nervous flyer. Emma thinks that she is going to die.........so she starts talking to the man next to her.
Except she doesn't just talk to him, she gets an extreme case of verbal diarrhea and tells him everything. .....EVERYTHING!!!
Like the fact that she wears knickers 2 sizes to small, and that she hasn't found her G spot yet, oh yes and that the company she works for has crappy coffee, a shitty manager and she threw away a clients details.
The flight landed fine and she went away embarrassed, but safe in the knowledge that she would never see the man again so it doesn't matter.............
Only the man turns out to be the founder of the company, the big cheese, the CEO of the company, and just so happens to visit their offices for a few days.
There are some cracking one liners and I thoroughly enjoyed this little slice of fun

Wow this book is going to be really hard to review.
This is one that you really have to read yourself, don't read any reviews and go in blind!
It is quite a slow read, and then it builds up, and you find that you can't stop reading as you have to know.........
The story in itself is about 3 children and how their lives are in a type of bording school known as Hailsham.
Tommy is a boy that no one really bother with as he has quite a temper, that is apart from Kathy who has always been friends with him, and Ruth, who's stories are sometimes a little bit "out there"
Kathy is now 31 and is telling the story and is looking back fondly on her memories at Hailsham, but then the story starts to take a more sinister edge, and we are then allowed to look at the school for what it is, and why the children are so special.
A shuddering 4•5 ☆ read.

Omigosh i Luuuuurved this one!!
Leah Raeder is not your usual fluffy romantic Ahhhhh kind of writer, hell most of the time you want to punch the MC in the face!
But Oh. My. God. She can WRITE, her words are like poetry, just beautiful.
In this book Vada the MC is an artist, so everything is about colours and brush strokes, ugh just beautiful.

“Red. Harvest red. A jacket of russet, and sienna, and umber.” She didn’t object to extra words, so I went on, “Soot-black socks. A vest of pure snow. And amber . . . buttons. Old, wise amber that holds the sun, and carries it into the darkness, like tiny lamps.”“Is it a fox?” she whispered.

Review
Audiobook received free in exchange for an honest review (Thanks to Audio Blast)
This book was actually a pleasant surprise, I enjoyed it very much and will certainly be looking out for the Authors other titles and the 2nd book to this series.
Narration of the audiobook was good after she got "into the swing" of it, as at the beginning it was very monotone, and I was dreading listening to the rest.
The story follows Erin Solomon as she tries to find out what really happened to 34 people who died on a small island that she has recently inherited.
The story jumps between past and present to keep us in the loop and also throw in a few clues, but this was not confusing at all and I was able to keep up with the story.
I will certainly be reading book 2 in the series but I will wait for the audio to be released first.
