🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 6 Just Like Cuttin' Chicken stars!
This is quite possibly one of my favourite YA series, although that does depend what day it is LOL
Jasper 'Jazz' Dent is quite famous, well i say quite, but when your dad is the most infamous serial killer ever, everyone knows who you are.
Billy Dent is the serial killer everyone knows about, he has 123 murders under his belt, and he is currently serving 30 life sentences in jail for his crimes.
Jazz knows all about his fathers killings, One because obviously he is his son, but also, because of the fact that Billy liked to take his son with him to witness the killings!
Jazz basically is every cops wet dream, he has been able to witness crime scenes from the point of view of the killer himself.
As you can imagine with his life the way it is, Jazz isn't exactly popular, he has a best friend called Howie who was a brilliant character, he was funny and also was someone who Jazz felt that he had to look after because he is a Haemophiliac.
He also has a girlfriend called Connie, she is a lovely girl and is also black, which doesn't go down too well with his very outspoken and racist Grandma, who is also hilarious (not because she is racist!)
Bodies start to pile up in the town of Lobo's Nod where Jazz lives, and it seems that Billy Dent is up to his old tricks again, but he can't be while he is locked up in jail, so it seems that a Copy-cat killer is on the loose.
Jazz thinks that he will be the perfect person to help the police with the investigations, but the more involved he gets, the more he starts to think that he is more like his father than he thought!!
🎧🎧 Narration for this was OUTSTANDING, expertly done by Charlie Thurston, his voice for Billy sent chills down my spine!
* I would say save a credit for this one, but it looks like it is unfortunately not available to download from Audible any more!
If you would like a copy of this then please let me know and i can happily try and send you it via the 'Send This Book' feature on the Audible App
If you like Young Adult books then you will LOVE this one!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟·5 Never Too Old Stars
I loved this book, it is the 3rd one in the series, but can absolutely be read as a standalone, the author even told me to tell you in the book.
"Note: We would like to let you know that this is a stand-alone novel. No previous experience with books by Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby is required. Jump in anywhere!
Other Note: there is some discussion as to who can claim Liam as her official book boyfriend. Please form an orderly line."
Sadie is a single mum, a single mum to twins, and she is trying to make it on her own.
Struggling alone without the help of with a nanny is fine for her, considering her ex husband and the nanny are now together are the reason for her divorce, Sadie makes the guilty decision to put the girls in daycare.
On the first day she makes sure she has everything ready for her daughters "Piggypoo" for Amy, a cuddly toy who she is VERY attached to, and a Helmet for Kate, who likes to run headfirst into things a lot as she has sensory issues.
Dropping them off and full of guilt, Sadie then bumps into the handsome man who is working at the daycare centre, who turns out to be no other that Liam McAllister, a boy that she used to babysit for when she was younger.
Liam has always had a crush on Sadie since she used to look after him years ago, she is the reason why he now likes older women, but Sadie is having none of it.
Time for Liam to get his game on and turn on the charm!
Sadie can instantly feel the attraction between them, but with Liam being so brilliant with the girls (a total turn on) she finds it more and more difficult to stay away, especially since her friends are also trying to push them together too!
A quick hilarious little story with no drama and a whole lot of fun.
*Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC copy for review.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Can This Woman Do No Wrong Stars!!
Lauren Blakely does it again! When does this woman sleep???
Have you heard the one about the Quiz Nerd and the Rockstar???
If you know me by now then you will know that I have a love for second chance romance stories, it's not even a guilty pleasure, I have no guilt at all, I fly my Swoon flag high people!
This is a first in a new series, but each one can be read as a Stand-Alone.
This was everything you need in a story with the added benefit of kids!
Yes, our two MC's both have teenage children, and I loved them, one was a little music prodigy and the other was an avid baker with her own YouTube channel.
Mackenzie is a woman that has dedicated her life to her son, she has put herself on the back burner, and managed to find a delicate balance between dating and quizzing, meaning she quizzes more than dates!
Campbell had a privileged life when he was younger being a former Rock Star, now days you will find him chilling with Netflix and sampling his daughters baking creations, although he does still sing in a band, he does not use his former stage name, and is now just a part-time singer and music teacher.
In true Lauren Blakely style the witty banter was there in spades, Mackenzie gave as good as she got, and it was hilarious, I had a grin on my face throughout, and Campbell had a dirty mouth, and I loved it!!!
🎧🎧 Narrated by the dream-team of Andi Arndt #SexyVoiceQueen & Sebastian York #SebYes this was just sheer narration perfection.
These two together are a masterclass of narration, my Andi/Seb comfort blanket was wrapped around me and I didn't want it to end, well not until the next one in the series is released!
**Thank you to the author for providing me with a digital copy

🌟🌟🌟🌟.5 Which brother Stars??
Well now i don't know who is my favourite brother, is it Miller or Campbell??
Loved this little story, i LOVE the fact that the MC was a narrator for Audio books, Well played Ms Blakely, Well Played!!
A friends to lovers story which is always the best type, we get to follow the lives of two lovely people who deserve some happiness for a change.
There wasn't any unnecessary drama and the characters were steaming hot together.
I can't big Lauren Blakely up enough for her writing, she will always leave you with a smile on your face after finishing one of her stories, i don't know how she does it.
🎧🎧 Narration as usual was superb, I mean it was Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, what could possibly go wrong?
For all of you narrator lovers out there, this book has a special little cameo from another narrator, i didn't expect it, so when it happened, i rewound it a couple of times, and then proceeded to do a little squeak!
**Always thanks to ms Blakely for providing me with a digital copy of his book

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"Just Friends" stars
Well well well, why am i not surprised that Ms Blakely has done it again!!
No matter how many books this lady releases, she always manages to knock it out of the park, and this one was no exception.
April has been invited to stay with her parents for the annual summer reunion.
Unfortunatley whenever she goes home for any time, her friends and family always try and set her up with someone, mainly so that she will stay in the town where she was born.
April doesn't want to stay in the sleepy town, she has a brilliant job and is doing really well, much to her parents dismay, New York is her home now.
Whats a girl to do, how can she stop her parents from trying to shack her up with someone??
Theo is a bit of a bad boy, he has been in trouble a few times, but is now trying to get himself on the straight and narrow, pay off his debts, and live a happy life.
He does this by being a Dial-a-Boyfriend, for those people in need of a plus one, advertising on Craigslist, he manages to make quite good money from it.
After placing her order, April sets the ground-rules to Theo and they toddle off together to the reunion as pretend Boyfriend and Girlfriend..........but things don't always play by the rules, and rules are there to be broken after all 😜
🎧🎧 Narration was perfect with this one, with Zachary "sex voice" Webber and Erin Mallon #ErinMallonsManVoiceMakesMeSexuallyConfused
These 2 together are like a kettle waiting to boil, the witty banter that you expect and love from Blakely's books is there in spades, and the fact that these 2 narrators have the hottest voices around doesn't hurt either 😇
⭐⭐⭐⭐·5 Thirsty Stars
Do you know what's lovely? being able to go to the tap...turn it on...and water come out of it.
To be able to fill your glass and quench your thirst with a lovely cool glass of water.

To be able to run a bath, or have a shower, an extra long shower at that!
But what would happen if that all of a sudden stopped one day, without even a warning, just stop!
I mean there has been a drought in the area for a while, everyone knows that, and the usual bans have been in place, don't water your lawn, don't take long showers, don't fill your pools.....but this is... different!
You'd check around your area right? Then you'd check the news to see if something was wrong. Then you'd see that there was a "Tap-Out" and the water had been turned off, so you sit and make a plan.
You would obviously then run to your nearest supermarket to stock up on bottled water right?
But everyone else has the same idea, and there isn't enough water for everyone, so you manage to buy a few bags of ice and get out of the store before the fighting and riots start.

You keep checking the news but it's not even mentioned on there, just a throw away comment about 3 million people without water.
And even though the government say that water is on the way, there is a heatwave and you are...just...so...thirsty!
And days...weeks later...there is Still. No. Water!

So what would you do for a sip of water?
Ask someone nicely?
Beg someone?
Lie to someone?
Steal from someone?
Hurt someone?
Kill ..........

This is what our characters have to deal with, and there are a lot of characters, we have 4 main ones, but it also jumps between others so that you can see how the Tap-Out is affecting everyone.
After always having the rest of the neighbourhood laughing at him because of him preparing for an Apocalypse, Kelton is the one having the last laugh as he and his overprotective father sit and drink their water from their self sufficient, no-thanks-I-don't-need-your-electricity-I-have-my-own house.
On the other side of the street however Alyssa and Garrett are not having such a great time, their parents are who-knows-where, and they don't have any water...
Jacqui is a badass, nothing more needs to be said about her, you'll love to hate her, she's a bitch, but she's brilliant!
The "Water Zombies" are just scary, again because it could be any one of us.

I can't tell you how many gallons of water i must have drunk listening to this, it just made me so thirsty, and the thought of not having anything, and how quickly this can escalate made me very uncomfortable.
Neal Shusterman is a master at these sort of stories, Unwind was the first series of his i read, and it soon turned into one of my favourites.
He makes you want to discuss the book, they are fantastic for Book Clubs, because even though they are Dystopian reads, they could actually happen!
The fact that he has written this with his son, and that they are looking to bring this to the big screen brings me all kinds of joy.
🎧🎧 Narration - This was a full cast audio, including narration from both Neal and Jarrod Shusterman, now at the beginning it gives the "This is Audible" section, and says that it is narrated by the authors, i was a bit 😨 about that, because in *most* (not all) cases, authors that narrate their books are a bit 😲 So i was shouting "Noooooo" at my phone.
But i am happy to say that 1. There is a full cast of narrators, and they do it brilliantly, and 2. Neal and Jarrod Shusterman are FANTASTIC narrators!!
If you like a Young Adult book then you should get this. If you like Dystopian books you should get this. If you like a great story, well you should get this book!!
