Firstly let me thank Audiojukebox for gifting me this copy for an honest review.

So, secondly, I requested this book after reading the bumpf and thinking hmm this looks good !
I didn't know however that it was #3 in a series !!

I'm assuming that all of the characters were already established in the 1st 2 books so it was a little difficult to relate to them at first.

I did however enjoy the book and the story isn't one that carried over from the last book.....phew!

On what seems to be a relatively normal police traffic incident Inola and her partner Cody arrive in their squad car to find themselves in trouble.
A shootout occurs and her partner is shot dead, a woman tells her that someone has taken her son and then promptly walks in front of a car , and the driver of the car??? Well he just happens to be the sick SOB who has kidnapped the kid, oh and also is the woman's ex husband!

After the gun shoot out and dead bodies everywhere Inolas gun is seized and she is told that she must stand down from the force pending an investigation!

While this is going on the ex husband (unbeknown to Inola as he is using a false name) is also involved in the police investigation, and as Inola can not use her badge anymore, she goes it alone to avenge her partners death.

Inolas boyfriend Hawk who is the county sheriff, and it seems everyone else refuses to believe that there is a missing child involved in the case, and it is up to Inola to prove that there is, and to rescue the child.

This was an on the edge of your seat read by the end of the book, how everything blended together was very clever.

This was a good read, however the narrator for me was a little too monotone and I found myself drifting off a little and having to rewind some parts, although her character voices were very good.

Loved it !!!!

Umm this book was okay but not brilliant.
It follows the story of Jake & Eve and there on off, on off, on off relationship.
Basically that was the whole book, they were in love and had "explosive" sex, Jake disappeared for 10 years and then just turns up and expects to get back together with Eve, whadya know, she takes him back!
Queue more explosive sex, an argument or 3, more sex and a little bit more sex thrown in.
Now I don't know about you but I loves me a bit of smut, but I was pretty bored with all the shagging in this book, I found myself skimming the book by the end.
I'm not sure whether I will be reading book 2.

The narrator was a little bit too monotone for me, her voices were all the same and didn't really have much difference to them.

Okay let me 1st start by saying that if I was a 14 year old girl I would be gushing, fangirling and 5 ☆'ing this bad boy all over the place!!

Only problem is that I'm not, I'm 40.....ish and this books was just a little too sickly sweet for me, the main characters were too perfect (even though they were both transplant patients) and everything just fit into place a little bit too perfectly for me.

Again I am not saying that it was a bad book, the story is actually lovely, but I need a little bit more meat in my books, this was a little fluffy kitten whereas I would prefer the kitten to also have razor sharp claws!!

Narration was good although when she was doing the male voice for Phillip I couldn't help thinking that she sounds just like Milhouse from The Simpsons, and it made me grin every time!

I liked the idea of seeing the story in both POV however sometimes it did seem to drag as it is the same story again and again.

Over all, I think this is a definite story for people who like light fluffy romances, not my cup of tea personally but not a bad book at all :○)

What a lovely coming of age book this was, I'm so glad I clicked the button to read this and not skip over it!

Jolia is a young girl that used to have braces, she doesn't have them anymore but that doesn't stop her from being so paranoid about her "donkey teeth" and the whispers and laughing behind her back.

She is so timid that she stops talking, not completely but to stand in front of her class and talk publicly is her worst nightmare!

She is failing in her speech classes because of this, so her teacher gets the bright idea to put her slap bang into a speech team!

The thing is Jolia is so embarrassed about failing her class that she cannot tell anyone, not even her best friend why, so she goes with it and steps in front of the audience!!

This was such a nice story, I really felt for Jolia, and a lot of the characters were very relatable, I mean didn't everyone have a friend that used to drop you as soon as a boy came on the scene?

Narration for the characters were spot on, I was never wondering who was talking or correcting words or phrases in my head while I was listening to the story.

A solid 4☆ listen!

Okay so 1st of all the narration, it was good, not brilliant, but okay.
I could clearly distinguish the different characters and voices and I wasn't scratching my head wondering who was talking.

The book?
Hmmm I have to say that it wasn't my favourite I'm afraid, it was too young adult for me, I love YA but the tone of the book made it feel like it was a couple of very young boys, and it was they were 14, but something just didn't gel with me about the story.

Eric is a loner, a nobody, a freak, a "crazy train" the reason for this? He sees things, phantoms to be precise, he has been to a councillor for this, and because of this he is a target for bullies.
Apart from the local drunk no one believes Erik about his phantoms.

Every day he is targeted, that is until Kyle turns up, he tells the bullies where to go and they become firm friends, blood brothers!

They do the usual things that 14yr old do, play Nintendo (remember Duck Hunt?) play knock-a-door Ginger while sneaking out of their bedrooms at night, and stealing tobacco from their brothers wardrobe "just to try it"

People start to grow increasingly tired in the town and some completely disappear, and Erik is the key to the whole thing!

I would love to say that I really enjoyed it, but as I was given the book for an honest review that is what I will do.
Unfortunately I won't be reading book #2 in the series.
