 I picked this book up during a fill-a-bag-for-$5 library sale, purely because it was a Tor.com novella. Turns out that isn’t a reliable way for choosing a new favourite. One chapter in, I instantly regretted giving this a try. I can say with complete honesty that I did not understand a shred of what happened in the entire 144 pages.

 

 this was the sweetest little graphic novel! i see myself returning to it again and again, whenever i’m in need of a quick pick me up. sure, the world-building could have been a little more fleshed out and i loathed the ending (for a very specific reason that i won’t spoil) but the developing relationship between melody, razzmatazz and bon was everything.
