Fascinating, fast-placed plot. Solid protagonist. Worldbuilding quite iffy. Unnecessary romance. Rushed ending. Unputdownable. RTC.

i liked this one, a lot, but it tried to do too many things

Woah, I didn't expect to like this book, let alone like it this much. The world was incredible, and I adored the characters. The plot was action-packed and engaging. The ending was perfect - not too cliffhangery but enough to leave me wanting even more. Definitely awaiting the sequel anxiously now!

The art in [b:Saga, Volume 2|17131869|Saga, Vol. 2 (Saga, #2)|Brian K. Vaughan|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1486028954s/17131869.jpg|23857485] was somehow much better than the first volume. I don't know how to describe other than it seemed cleaner, more balanced, and the colouring flowed nicer. It wasn't as vibrant, but it was more pleasing to the eye.

I didn't think the story was as good though. It was nice that we got to see different sides of the story, and follow where the other characters were, but the change between storylines was a little choppy and happened too frequently. But nonetheless, the storyline was still fantastic and addictive. I seriously love Marko so much.

#1 Caraval ★★☆☆☆

i liked it more than caraval but that ending was a complete cop-out

I am not going to pretend this book was written gold. I can tell you right now that the simple writing style is not going to cut it for some critics. I understand that, honestly, but for me it captured the essence of Connor and his videos and that is all I need. You can hear him reading it to himself exactly as its written on the page. It's quirky and fun but more importantly: creative, clever and thoroughly heart-warming. inspirational. I've taken a lot out of reading this book, and I am sure a lot people will too.
