Only rating this so low because it didn’t capture my attention in large parts, which meant that a lot of the plot went over my head. Maybe it’ll be worth re reading a physical copy in the future.

As always, Junji Ito’s artwork is disturbing and captivating and I’ll never want to stop seeing what he creates! But, although I enjoyed the story for the first ⅔ of this book, it started to feel somewhat repetitive towards the end. Although I think this should not be missed by anybody who’s already a fan of Ito’s work, I don’t think I’d recommend it as a first step into his world.

For some reason, I just couldn’t get a grasp on this story. I found it to be a very frustrating read, but I was only annoyed with myself for not being able to gel with it at all.
