Three and a half stars. This book was alright, and there were some really entertaining sections within the story, but it's not exactly a favourite and I'm not sure I would be able to bring myself to read it again.
Read it. Now. Right now. There are books that everyone has to read at least once, and this is one of them.
I love this book SO MUCH. It's written in a rather straight forward way, but I think that's one of the reasons I liked it so much. I'm not normally into the more popular YA fiction and romancy (is that a word?) type books, however Maddy's personality was great, and I had loads of laugh out loud moments (I'm looking at you, bundt cake). It's a book that I can read more than once without getting bored, with a slightly different format than usual (emails, notes, etc.).
I have a feeling that one of the reasons I liked this book so much is because I found out about it on my own and didn't have a whole load of people saying how good it is and that I had to read it, so I won't say you have to read it, but... you have to read it.

A new favourite; book is an absolute gem. The story is told completely in poems, which adds a certain uniqueness and voice to it I don't see in many books. I had to stop myself from crying at multiple times throughout, which doesn't happen very often; it tells a truth about our culture at the moment, and I believe we all need to see that and actually do something about it.
