This was a really good sequel, and an incredible book in itself. One main thing about these books that I love is the attention to detail throughout- and the different layouts of the text. I must have looked rather strange to other people when I was spinning the book around, sideways, and at one point upside down! Definitely recommend (again, for slightly older / mature audiences :D )

I love how well Riordan writes final books in his series; I still of course have a massive book hangover, and I might be a bit of a train wreck whenever people mention certain characters’ names, but there was definitely a sense of finality at the end of this book which made me feel weirdly nostalgic.

(Haha no spoilers)

I feel like I need to write a review for this, so here goes nothing...
This is a very, very well written book, and I love how much thought went into the world itself. The characters are absolutely amazing; I honestly don't know how George R.R. Martin decided on different names for the characters, their houses, and even individual landmarks such as rivers and towns.
The only problem for me was the amount of sex throughout the book; I'm usually fine with a bit of this throughout (the author is trying to create a relatively realistic world after all) but I personally felt slightly uncomfortable with the frequency and amount of detail it went into, and found myself wondering when I would be able to continue with the actual storyline instead of reading about the 'needs of men'.
Other than that, I thought it was a good book and would recommend for the more mature reader.

Omigosh the amount of hype I felt reading from Percy's POV again I was just like OMGHEISN'TDEAD. This is another series I have a COMPLETELY HEALTHY obsession with, to the point where I know what everyone's going to say before they have said it, and I regret nothing. They are good books.
