This is a book that I will continue to pick up throughout my life and I’m so grateful to have read it for the first time at this point in my life.
The characters were so sweet and cute. I loved it for what it was…a heart warming story with a big bow at the end.

This book is probably my favorite that I’ve read this year. I felt like I was back in my early 20s floundering to figure it all out when time felt so fleeting. My heart sang and cried through Dawn’s hopelessness with her art. I found her friendships so powerful and of course her connection to Gertrude. I highly recommend this book to queers and young artists. Especially if you fall into both categories.
