BURN FOR ME BY: ILONA ANDREWS

Yup. That's precisely how I feel. Why did I do this to myself? I got Burn for Me the day it released, because I mean it's Ilona Andrews, what other reason would one possibly need?! And you know what I did when I received said book back in November....I shelved it. I think I subconsciously knew that I would love this book so much that I would immediately want the sequel in hand. So I managed to make it this far and like a well meaning addict, I broke down and got my fix. And it was GLORIOUS! I loved this story, the characters, the humor, the magic, just EVERYTHING! I loved it so much that I am now so bummed to have to wait until October for my next fix of Nevada, Mad Rogan and the wonderful world of magic :( I know this is far from a coherent, well written review, but I blame the Andrews duo for reducing me to this blabbering puddle of need. Now I just need to try and figure out what I could possibly read next that will partially fill this Ilona Andrews shaped void inside of me lol

THE SANDMAN BY: ERIN KELLISON

Whoa! Being the second to last book in the series I knew that big, crazy things were going to happen, but I was in no way prepared for everything that went down in The Sandman! Seriously.

I have grown to really love these characters, and with this addition of the series I now understand that I have no idea what the hell is going to happen to any of them! Things keep looking bleaker and bleaker for this gang of misfits, and really the whole world at large!

We did get to see more than we have of the Sandman in this book, but it was honestly a lot less than I had anticipated. Although the damage he inflicts is in no way in shortage here. By the end of this story I feel like this entire situation is completely FUBAR and I have no clue how the next, and last book is going to wrap everything up. And I am now so worried about anyone making it through to the end!

This was non stop action packed with plenty of crazy twists and turns. A don't miss for sure! Now I'll just be here, very nervously, awaiting what Kellison will wallop us with next!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

WHITE HOT KISS BY: JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT
You know, I think my favorite thing about this book was Roth. He was funny, naughty, and at the same time always seemed to be there and come through for Layla. Ironic that he was literally the demon of the story. Also pretty awesome that his bad ass snake's name was Bambi.

I really liked that this story was about Gargoyles. I have never read anything involving them before, so that was definitely unique. It was neat that they were basically the defenders of humanity against the demons. I liked that they were already out in the open amongst the humans, but the demons were still operating under the radar. It made it interesting to see how they worked at eradicating the demon problem while still keeping humans unaware of the demonic presence.

I'm still kind of on the fence about Layla, to be honest. She's a little more meek than I expected, but I think there is going to be some character growth there in the coming books, so I can get on board with her if that is the case. And I have to say it, Zayne wasn't all that for me either. I felt like there was more tell and less show when it came to him being so close to Layla. He seemed pretty busy doing his own thing in a lot of this book. There is a definite huge set up for a love triangle, which I usually don't mind so much, but I typically prefer to actually struggle myself with which one I think the heroine should go for, and in this book there wasn't even a question, it was Roth hands down.

I have pretty high hopes that the next book, Stone Cold Touch, will be even better. I am a huge JLA fan so I have faith that the next installment will deliver her usually touch of awesome.

FALL WITH ME BY: JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT
I just knew I was going to love this one! I was dying to get Roxy's story, with her hilarious graphic tees and wit to match!

It did not disappoint. I honestly love this whole group of people, I have enjoyed the Wait for You series since the first book, maybe even more so now that it's branched out to a whole new group of characters in a new city. This new ensemble has a lot of awesome to offer! Seriously. I mean there's even an enigmatic stripper who can tell you when you'll fall in love and with whom, thanks to a stripper pole incident gone awry.....lol really though, please someone tell me there is a Katie book in the very near future! That one would be incredible!

Ok so back to Fall with Me, Roxy's story was kind of a sad one, with her best friend having been in a terrible accident years ago that resulted in severe brain damage. It made me love her even more to see her visit her friend every week and stay so devoted to him, even when his own parents were not around much. There was actually a lot of stuff going on in this book. I don't want to give anything away but let's just say that Roxy was dealing with multiple stress factors in her life. It definitely made for a page turning read, I honestly read this book in a day. I couldn't get anything else done until I finished it.

I really liked Reece too. I mean who doesn't like a man in uniform, am I right?! I thought their story was really sweet having grown up together, being neighbors and having gone from friends to something more.  It was also kind of funny to see just how much some little miscommunications could cause so many issues.

All in all this was yet another fantastic addition to an amazing series. I think these books are great for lovers of contemporary romance, and for people looking for some NA with heart. I am pumped that a novella for Reece's brother Colton comes out next week, I have a feeling that will be very good as well.
