Oops. Totally clueless about this being the third book in a series lol. I saw Ilona Andrews on the cover and that told me all I needed to know to jump in. It was a fast, fun read and I now look forward to the previous two books I will immediacy be jumping into.

Not gonna lie, I basically read this one because I stumbled upon the sequel that sounded interesting but you kind of have to start in the beginning. It was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. High on the dramas and the passions with just enough heart to rope you in the end. Not really any surprises here. I'm hopeful/curious if the next one will add a little something more to the mix.

Fantastic! I just inhaled this in about a five hour sitting cover to cover. Dave Grohl is indeed quite a storyteller. I couldn't put this down. I will 100% be getting the audiobook version of this as well to enjoy with my guy because I know he will love this even more than I did and that's really saying something.

This story was thoroughly dark and creepy but managed to somehow develop a small ray of lightness and hope that steadily shone through. I was completely engrossed in it from the jump and it kept me flying through the pages till the conclusion.

This story simultaneously broke my heart and warmed it at the same time. The Senator's unimaginable loss coupled with his unwavering patriotism and determination to protect our democracy (most notably in the midst of the worst time in his life) is truly inspiring.
