A wonderful little survey of some of the most influential characters in world literature. You can tell that the author has a genuine love and affection for each of the characters and stories, and not only have I discovered some new reads, but I'm tempted to re-try some books I despised as a high schooler. Only real complaint; too many exclamation marks are used. Always feels super jarring.
I’m not usually a “get me by the first sentence person” but the first like five pages put me off and I don’t wanna waste time trying to force myself to finish it.
