What I liked:
- All the beautiful illustrations!
- The glossary at the end was helpful and informative.
- I learned a lot about queer history.

What I didn't like:
- The e-book was a bit hard to read.
- I wish there was more about asexual and nonbinary people. The terms should at least be mentioned in the glossary.

I would recommend this book to people who are new to the queer community and/or who want to learn more about queer history.

- I never read a book by Morgan Daimler before, and I didn't really know what to expect from this book. I only picked it up because I felt Thor reaching out to me a few months ago and I wanted to learn more about him.
- I love this book! It's very short, easy to read and it covers a lot of topics such as Thor in mythology, Thor's family, symbols, Thor in the modern world, and some tips for worshipping Thor.
- I already know a lot about Norse mythology, but I still learned a lot of new things.
- I really liked the "Thor in my life" section at the end of each chapter.
- There are also prayers, poems, a guided meditation to connect with Thor and lots of resources.
- After reading this book I will definitely try to learn more about Thor and maybe start worshipping him!

• This book reminds me so much of one of my favorite songs - "The Riddle" by Maddie Ross!
• I really hope it gets adapted into a movie! That would be perfect!
• The writing style is very interesting, because Saoirse often talks directly to the reader. At the beginning I thought that this would be very annoying, but surprisingly it wasn't. It could have been a little more consistent, though.
• To be honest, I didn't really like the characters. I wanted to like them so bad, but... I just didn't. The one I liked most was Oliver - his and Saoirse's relationship-development was really cute.
• Even though I didn't feel very connected to the characters, I loved the story! It was so adorable!!!
• The book talked about so many important topics - family, friendship, how to let go and how to hold on... There was also a lot of character development and personal growth, especially for Saoirse.
• The ending was really good! It wasn't forced or cheesy, it was just... right.

CN: mentions of rape, slavery, violence, death

What I liked:
• I’m in love with this cover! It’s so beautiful!
• Mermaid! Pirates! Witches! Queerness! This is everything I ever wanted in a book!
• Seriously, the queer representation was amazing. Sapphic couples, nonbinary pirates, Flora’s gender exploration – there was so much casual queerness, and I loved it.
• The writing was really, really beautiful – especially the stories that one of the side characters tells Flora.
• The worldbuilding was great! And so diverse!
• I really liked that this book was told in multiple POV, because the characters were so interesting! I hope there will be another book about some of the other characters in the future.

What I didn’t like:
• The love story was a bit underdeveloped. In my opinion Evelyn and Flora went from „Maybe you’re not that bad…“ to „You’re the love of my life!“ a little to fast.
• I wish there were more scenes about the witchy part of the story! I would have loved to learn more about how the magic works.

CN: slutshaming (it isn’t very explicit, but still…)

What I liked:
• The cover is so cute!
• As a former theatre kid, this book made me so happy! I loved the atmosphere and all the musical references. And I definitely need to rewatch Les Mis soon!
• Mel is openly bisexual and has two dads! (And Odile identifies as queer and later says she isn’t sure of the details yet, but bi is closest to what she is.)
• I really like the writing style.
• The format of the book is so interesting! It's set up like a real play/musical (with scenes, acts and an intermission) and there are lots of notes, cast lists etc. I felt like I was a part of the crew!
• Mel and Odile are so adorable!
• The ending was wonderful! Maybe a bit cheesy, but I loved it!

What I didn’t like:
• In my opinion the love story developed a little to fast.
• Unfortunately, I didn’t like any of the friendships in this book. Mel says Dom is her best friend, but she often ignores him and doesn’t talk to him very much, even when she notices that something is wrong with him. And her other friends forbid her to fall in love?! How shitty is that? And they never really admit that they did something wrong too? I wish they had more conversations about that.

CN: Queerfeindlichkeit, toxische Familie, emotionaler und körperlicher Missbrauch, Panikattacken, PTBS, Trauer, Tod

Was mir gefallen hat:

• CNs for this book: transmisia, off-page deadnaming, misgendering, harassment

• Felix is a great and relatable main character. He’s emotional and insecure and makes mistakes… he’s so real that it almost hurts.
• Ezra is such an angel! He is the perfect friend and everyone should have someone like him in their life.
• The story was very emotional and adressed a lot of important topics.
• Felix is questioning his gender identity again after already coming out as a trans boy. For me, this part of the story was incredibly important.
After struggling with his gender identity for a while, Felix ends up identifying as a demiboy!!! Demigender representation is so important to me, and I almost cried when Felix discovered that label for himself.

• A lot of transmisia is mentioned in this book. Although those parts were very hard to read, I liked the fact that the transmisia was always adressed and called out and the characters stood up for each other and themselves.
• This book is so full of pride and queerness and love! It was really validating.
• The ending was so cute! Seriously, I couldn’t stop smiling because it was so adorable!

• I can‘t put my love for this book into words! „Felix Ever After“ is already my favorite book of 2020 and everyone should read it at least once.
