Uplifting, utterly charming & wonderful.

Linfoot is one of my go-to authors and this book met all my very high expectations. She combines the perfect amount of funny, cringeworthy, serious, and heartfelt moments to make the most wonderful feel-good reads.

The whole cast of characters is strong, relatable, and endearing. Milla especially as she is determined to be positive in the face of agony and look on the bright side with her epic achievements of the day.

Set in gorgeous picturesque Cornwall, the harbor and the beaches of St Aiden are so dreamy if someone could just whisk me there immediately, please.

It's an absolute must-read for all rom-com lovers! We all need more Linfoot magic in our lives and I for one can't wait to get my mitts on her next release.

A huge thanks to Rachel's Random Resources & One More Chapter for gifting me a copy in return for an open & honest review.

Page-turning crime fiction at it's best!

An excellently crafted thriller with a cast of fabulously unique and memorable characters (Codger Harris deserves a special mention here!).

The atmosphere in this sunbaked drought-stricken landscape is portrayed perfectly, you can almost feel the oppressing heat at the tension and twists build with every passing chapter.

A compulsive, absorbing, and unputdownable mystery.

It gets all the stars from me

An emotional, beautifully written story.

Rudd's unique writing style is captivating and poignant. I loved the symbolism of intersections, overlapping of the underground lines, and that of the lives of the characters in this novel.

This novel has love, loss & relationships at its heart. It delicately deals with various forms and the effects it has on all the lives around you. The scene with Ryan and his Grandfather was incredibly heartfelt.

It just missed out on 5⭐ because I felt the ending was a bit sudden.

Overall, an enjoyable, poignant read with relatable characters. One to be considered and thought about, rather than devoured quickly.

A powerful, heart-wrenching novel!

This original story is focused on the impact of criminal accusations on three people's lives the accused Dave, his girlfriend Amelie, and the young girl at the heart of the accusations.

Malone writes this harrowing story with such humanity the all the feelings and emotions in the novel are almost tangible. I couldn't put it down.

If you are looking for an intriguing, emotional read that will challenge your thought process and stay with you long after you have turned the last page, this is that book!

I'd highly recommend it, to everyone who enjoys a stunning read.

Would you believe this is my first McDermid book?!

With excellent plotting, brilliant characters & perfect pacing it certainly won't be my last!

Perfect for fans of police procedurals, it's dual caseload will keep you on your toes and turning those pages long after you should have turned the lights out.

I just missed out on 5⭐ because I guessed the ending. I loved playing detective and the ride to it though.

Now I'm off to find more of her back catalog to read whilst I wait for the next installment...

If you loved Pulp Fiction then you would love this novel! It's dark and intense, sprinkled with some very funny moments.

Boyle has created an authentic world of tough guys, mean streets, and dark humour. The details of place, people, and actions transport you to Brooklyn. The New York slang weaved throughout is fabulous.

I enjoyed the structure of this novel, each chapter is narrated by a different character with all the threads joining them together is slowly revealed as you read.

It missed out on 5⭐ because there isn't a single likable character in there and I personally like at least one to root for.

Overall, a great example of crime noir, not for the faint-hearted. I will be looking out for his previous books.

The Handmaid's Tale was a powerful, shocking, thought-provoking read, that left its mark long after I'd turned the last page.

The Testaments isn't any of that. It is a fun, page-turning, hopeful read with kick-ass heroines.

Narrated from three different perspectives, which I found really intriguing from the start and they certainly kept me hooked until the end. The way their stories entwined was very clever.

I enjoyed it when I was reading it but I didn't leave a lasting impression. An unworthy sequel but it was always going to be difficult to reach the same heights as its predecessor.

A gorgeous uplifting Christmas read!

I really enjoyed this novel, it's beautifully written with a cast of characters that are impossible not to root for.

Goliath the Great Dane deserves a special mention, from dragging Clare through a hedge, to terrorizing the poor postman and to the hilarious incident he causes in the vets - he would fail to bring a smile to your face.

It just missed out on 5⭐because it did take me a little while to get into, but it is well worth sticking with for its community spirit and Christmas cheer.

Overall, a fabulous heart-warming read that will have you crying with laughter one minute and actually crying the next (don't forget the tissues!). Ultimately leaving you with that warm festive glow.

Perfect for anyone looking for that special slice of Christmas magic!
