Really, more like 3.5. It was engaging, but I was able to work out the entire plot pretty early on.

I reread this because it is the novel the Literary Club picked for the month (my middle schoolers have good taste!). But, let's face it, I really reread this because it has been a while and it is a great novel. I have read the second and the third books in the series and am informed there is going to be a fourth which will be a prequel.




This was a very good novel. So good, that I had to go out and buy the second book right away. I hope there is eventually a third.
