Take a Hint, Dani Brown Review: holy heck I love Dani! Take a Hint, Dani Brown follows another Brown sister, Dani Brown. Dani knows exactly what she wants and romance isn't one of those things. She asks the universe for the perfect friend-with-benefits. Behold Zafir, the security guard at the university Dani works at, is a hopeless romantic and just wants someone he can sweep off their feet. After turns of events, Zafir and Dani begin to fake date to help Zafir.
Do I have to say it again? I LOVE DANI. She's snarky and clever. I see a lot of myself in her. Zafir is the sweetest male protagonist so far, his love of his family and romance books warms my heart. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the passing felt a little off. Events were quick to move from one thing to another without giving much of an explanation.
I recommend this book to anyone to loves romance with banter, fake dating, friends-with-benefits, and their heart melted. Trigger warning for anxiety.

Every Heart a Doorway Review: Every Heart a Doorway is about kids who find portals to worlds of fantasy that makes them feel like they are home and truly belong. If they get booted out of the world, the kids have a hard time readjusting back to the normal world or want to get over being in the worlds. That's where Eleanor West's Home for Wayward Children comes into play. This home is for the kids to cope with being in the real world. Nancy is one of the kids who comes back from an Underworld. As soon as Nancy arrives to the home, things start going haywire.
This was a reread for me. I don't remember how I felt about it the first time and didn't remember any of the details. I flew through this book though. The atmosphere of the home makes me feel warm and welcomed. The only thing I wish is the climax was explained a little bit more; I want more of an explanation of why the antagonist did what they did and how that plan would have worked. I loved the imagery of the book, it was almost like watching a TV show in my head.
Overall I recommend this book to anyone who likes portals, mysteries, and characters who are easily loved.
