DNF @ 60%

The ableism didn't work for me. I know it's not set in today's society, but damn it's not fun reading about appearing "normal" versus showing deafness.

Was really liking the pining aspect of it too.

Wasn't into the dub-con for this one - dnf around 75% in.

They weren't kidding when they said buckets of orc cum though, daaaaaaamn.

3.5 stars - interesting post apocalyptic story. The heroine drove me nuts in the beginning but had a good character development arc. Both leads had a lot of traumatic shit to work through. End of the world, some morality and existentialism sprinkled throughout. Fear for survival. Very slow burn - wished they gave us more steam, but that's not really what this story was focused around. Joshua was the strong n silent scary hero who was only soft around Liv, no one else. That trope was done well! Also enjoyed getting dual POV from the leads.

3.5!

Reread - SO GOOD. Audiobook is fantastic. Still a pile of mush.

Currently a pile of mush over Ilya & Shane. Might not recover

Really enjoyed this marriage in trouble trope! Freya is the sister I wish I always had, I empathize hard with Aiden's anxiety. They had me by my heart strings. Liese did it again and made me fall in love with another Bergman!

Ps. I need to see how their parents fell in love and VIGO NEEDS HIS STORY!! lol

Refreshing, quick, hilarious quips. Marriage of convenience, Xeni is my dream woman. HERE FOR THE COMMUNICATION!

2.5 stars - what was that ending, it was all over the place.
