Reread for me. After the initial gushing over this, found a lot of things a problematic (ie. how many time's Lucy's height height was discussed for no reason. Room paint. Etc.) and it's dropped a lot lower for me. Bleh.

I loved this! The character development, Josh and his slow burn love, the enemies to lovers was great, their chemistry!! I also thought Josh caring for Lucy when she got deliriously sick was super sweet and funny. I want someone to compete with me at work, and then

Finding out that Josh was just super shy and how his rudeness and coldness was his way of making people not want to speak to him was interesting and I liked it. I don't see/read about people being mean or standoffish to others in hopes that they won't speak to them, because they're shy and introverted... Not just because they hate people or have some vendetta. His whole "attack before being attacked" way of coping with his social issues was interesting.

I loved how Josh showed how through actions that her was in love with Lucy, flaunted her around his family, and just clung onto her. That seemed like something I would pull if I brought a significant other to a family function. Just let them lead the way. I deeply, deeply resonated with Josh taking his time to ease Lucy into things and make sure that she wasn't going to get awkward or run on him. He was into her since day one and I love that shit. SO CUTE! The fact that he dropped his job that he didn't care about whatsoever, because he wasn't going to compete with Lucy for her dream job because she was more important to him was too sweet for my little heart. He stuck around solely because he liked Lucy's company. That shit's cute.

I will be rereading this book a lot.

This made my enby heart swoon. A novella with a nonbinary college lacrosse player and their childhood best friend heroine falling in love and opening that door of a relationship. This was short, sweet, a bit cheesy and wholesome with the innocence the two leads have. There's a grand gesture, Audrey Hepburn vibes, roommate shenanigans, and some very adorable cross stitching.

This is a novella after Catch and Cradle, a wlw college sports romance featuring one of the roommates and their romance. Definitely would have loved a full length book with Iz and Marina, but i'll take what I can get.
