2 stars is honestly being generous. I read the YONDER version of this novel and it was soooo bad. This book was the definition of guy abuses girl but it's fine because they were in love. And it was so annoying how the comments kept trying to gaslight me into thinking that Matthias was the definition of romance and Kyle was just pure evil. Let's be clear - just because Matthias was in love with Layla and Layla was in love with Matthias, his actions towards her were not warranted. And frankly there was barely any remorse for his actions, like sure Matthias did change but at least some sort of apology, or something, some sort of redemption arc. Their whole relationship was founded on abuse and it's disgusting how people want to romanticize it. Also the way people want to pretend like Claudine and Kyle are the worst characters in this novel when they aren't even that bad. Yeah Kyle was kind of a coward, but he also was a nice dude and wanted to protect Layla. And Claudine was just acting in the way she was trained for years. It gets 2 stars purely because the side stories were cute, and it was intriguing at times.  

This was an interesting story to read, although I would have liked to see what amberly thinks in her adulthood. I think this book does start to show clarkson’s manipulative tendencies. 

This is perfect I love this book.

I really enjoyed this book it was so good and I really liked seeing Sam’s development 

A bit weird at times but overall a cute story and I hope to see more like this. 

A relatively light hearted and relaxing book compared to many others in the series.
