So far I think this book was the best in the series. I loved finally seeing Cinder and Kai reunite, Thorne’s character development, and this whole book was pretty interesting. And while I do think that Thorne and Cress have nice dynamics, I pretty sure that there is a big age difference which I find a bit weird. Overall still a really good book though.

3.5 Stars. Spoilers for the whole series.

Before reading this series, please note that i haven’t read the school for good and evil series in a while so I may have some details wrong. One thing I felt was weird about this book is that Rafal is supposed to be the “good” twin, but every other book says that he’s evil and he knows he’s evil. Also, shouldn’t Rafal have killed Rhian at the end of the book, and when does this happen? There are definelty flaws in this series, but I still love this series and I think this was a pretty good book.

So in the beginning, I wasn’t really enjoying this book, but now I like it. I did find belly annoying at times, but others I felt like she just wanted to be included. I was really sad that Susannah was probably gonna die. Also I did feel bad for Cam.

EDIT: After watching the show and re reading the book I definitely like the show more than the book. Belly’s character is so much better, and Conrad is way more likeable (also there are a few Jeremiah scenes that are Conrad’s in the show). Cam is also way nicer in the show, and Belly and Cam’s relationship is better in the show.

Personally I enjoyed this book more than the first one. I liked seeing multiple storylines and POVS rather than just Cinder’s, and I enjoyed how this book had more adventure. I did feel like the romance aspect between Wolf and Scarlet was rushed, and I think she forgave him too fast after he betrayed her. I also felt like Michelle Benoîts death was a bit rushed or smoothed over, similar to how Peony’s death was smoothed over. Overall though, I think this was an interesting book and I can’t wait to read the next one.

P.S
I can’t believe I didn’t realize that this story was based of off little red riding hood.

4.5 Stars.

This book was so good. The friends to lovers was really well done, and the book was really interesting and captivating. I also think the character development was really well done. My only problem would be that I felt everything wrapped up a bit too easily towards the end, and I would have enjoyed a few more chapters, but other than that it was a great book.

I really enjoyed this book, and I can understand why there are some problems, I also really enjoyed it. I found the plot to be interesting, as well as the romance aspect, however I felt that the author didn’t talk enough about some parts in the story. Overall though, I think this was a really good book.

I really liked how mental illness was discussed in this book, and not pushed off or briefly described.

I love this series so much.
