I received a copy of this audiobook from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a review.
This is a debut novel inspired by the legend of Chang’e, the Chinese moon goddess. Xingyin has grown up on the moon, her mother having been exiled by the Celestial Emperor for stealing his elixir of immortality. But when Xingyin’s magic flares and her existence is discovered, she is forced to flee her home, leaving her mother behind.
This book is full of political intrigue, romance and magic. Parts of the book (mainly in the middle) were boring, I think this was mainly due to the pacing which felt all over the place, and sometimes there was just too much happening.
Overall this was a very enjoyable read and excellent for a debut novel, and I'm looking forward to the sequel to this duology.

Zoe takes off to her grandfather's cabin to get away from a stalker. Unfortunately the cabin is no longer fit for use. Luckily Riley, who is staying in her cabin nearby takes her in and they ride out a snowstorm together.
This short book is a cross between a sapphic romance and a thriller. I was hooked into this book from the very beginning to this very end and nearly read it in one sitting. I loved the side characters, Riley's friends, Keira and Elise and especially their son Phoenix.
Overall an thoroughly enjoyable and gripping read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book helps children understand the struggles of living with coeliac disease, particularly the stress of dealing with cross contamination (the scariness of crumbs is very relatable) in a fun and humorous way, but importantly how we can make it work. It is dealt with in an easy to understand way.
I would recommend this to all parents with child who have coeliac disease, or whose child has someone in their life with it. Even adults could learn a lot about making lives easier for loved ones dealing with dietary restrictions.
