Trillin is a breakaway fragment from the Endless, Trillin is determined to stay separate from the Endless. Sian is a human witch studying the Endless. Trillin and Sian make a connection and form an unlikely duo.

This is a fun, light-hearting, very unique novella. As it's a short book, we don't get much of an explanation of the world, it's more of a slice of life story. The pacing of the relationship between Trillin and Sian feel right. I would like if Cardno would write more books in this fascinating world.

Koral cheats her way into the competition as her family need to the money to survive. The stakes are high as a rebellion rises.

I wanted to love this book, as I loved the Hunger Games-esque premise. Unfortunately, I found the world building, scene setting and characterisation seriously lacking, as it's all action, action, action. Therefore I was unable to care about the characters or the plot and just found it boring
