I am not sure who gave Becky Chambers permission to write such heartbreakingly beautiful, emotional, warm books, but this fourth installment in the Wayfarers series was just as wonderful and captivating as the first three. I will read anything written in this world, read anything about any of these characters, and always be restored and rejuvenated after every single page. Thank you for creating these wonderful books that are glimmers of joy and hope and utopia in a world with so little of that, especially in science fiction. If you are feeling lost or hurt or broken or worn down by this world you will find comfort in reading any of Becky Chambers’s books please do as quickly as possible I can promise they will become some of your

I might make this a five-star read later. I absolutely devoured this book. It was so compelling and so fascinating; the characters were so interesting and everyone was so unique in their voice and presentation. I fully believed every single thing the characters thought and did. At no point did I question something was being too out of character or too convenient. And for a book so intensely character driven that is a massive accomplishment. This was truly, truly excellent.

This was enjoyable--it has been a few years since I read the first one, though, so I didn't remember everything that happened. That's my fault though. I think overall the genres probably not my favorite but the books are fun enough. I do find myself perpetually annoyed at Mathew just existing.

I am going to have to live the rest of my life with the knowledge that I have read this book. That is not to say this was a bad book in fact I think it’s pretty interesting and poses a lot of important questions, but it was still weird as fuck. And that’s all I have to say on that.

Another excellent book from this author. Really great themes and exploration Of a complicated topic. Highly recommend, especially if you’re interested in reading from more diverse authors and fantasy that is not medieval Europe. I love the way that the Tigers were represented throughout this book and I really appreciated the careful nuance placed on stories and their relationship to culture. It was so incredible the dialogue back-and-forth between the Tigers and the humans about how to understand their stories separately and together
