I enjoyed reading this book a lot. I needed a fun love story and I believed that one about fake dating would be the best one to go with. It then took a turn I did not expect which means that now ghat I reached the ending I'm crying horribly.
The ending was one I truly could relate too which is why it hit me so hard. Especially since it's been only weeks since it happened to me...
Usually I get bothered with books that have too much of another language in it. My sister once said that it feels like it's badly translated (for referance we both grew up on translated books as English is not our first language). I noticed, however, that as long as it not plays somewhere else where people actually should speak that language I do not mind. It acctually feels authentic reading a story with it that plays in the USA. I also felt really proud of me when I was able to compleatly understand the Korean fight Mr. Lee and Mr. Song had in the middle of the book (which was not a small fight and it means my Korean is improving greatly ^___^)
In the end I can say I enjoyed this book. It was a rollercoaster of feelings and it showed the balance between old and new world well.

The last book I picked up in January 2019 was The Cruel Prince by Holly Black.
I've read this book last year and decided to reread it because of the release of The Wicked King.
I really enjoy this book. Not all of it tho. I struggled with the begining but I've also struggled with this part when I first read it. I just... I hate stories where people are so obviously bullied in front of anyone. Yes, it fits the final story but it still was hard to get through. Onces Jude becomes a spy I got fully captured by the story. All the twists and turns were so good and I just kept on reading and reading.
The story was dark and cruel and Jude sure had to make some dark and hard desicions on ther difficult way to the end of the book. I really like this book and I can't wait to pick up the sequel.

I was really excited when I got this book in March from Fairyloot and instantly wanted to start reading it... it took me until December to finally pick it up though

This book took me by surprise!
When I read the premis I thought that it sounded interesting. I mean it's about a girl who draws monsters and everyone loves it. However nobody knows that those monsters she drew really exist. That alone sounded great. I didn't knew much about tge rest of the story which actually was really good. I really enjoyed not knowing what this is about.
The story took a very interesting spin and it kept me wondering what's going to happen next. For quite a long time I was wondering about Karou's real identity and man, that was such an interesting and nice twist. I really enjoyed seeing all the 'monster' in this story too.
The characters in this book are very lovely and very enjoyable to read. I liked Zuzana and Karou the most. However, no one can denie the charm of the angle too ^^
I really loved the writing style. It kept me craving for more. It still does! I'm so glad that there are 2 more books I can read in the series. I want to start them now ^___^

I started this series when I got back into reading in 2017 and I remember really liking the story. I even bought the last two books as I was eager to continue... which I did not do. So I decided to pick this book up again and start anew. To my surprise I liked it even better than the last time I read it. It's very well written and the characters are very really good. I'm still fastinated by the world the author created with this book. The twist, the plot and everything surounding the plot was so amazing to expiriance again. Definetly will pick up book two soon ^____^
