NO NOTES! This is what I'm talking about. From the very first word till the last word, I was completely locked in. The pacing felt perfect. It wasn't too fast or too slow for me. It's almost as if you're getting a deep and dark behind-the-scenes of a true crime documentary.

Overall, this unsettling book will remain as one of the favourite thrillers out there.

now, this is a thriller. it made me so stressful but i cannot stop reading. amazing pace that will keep you hooked.

3.3 stars

I went into this with quite a low expectations because I’ve heard from many people that this wasn’t as good as the first two books in The Housemaid series. That is true, it is not as gripping and the first half felt like it dragged a bit. I felt that it took too long to set things up and some settings did feel repetitive. I still do not
like Millie

I had a free Sunday and my plan was to read a bit of Yours Truly and then catch up with some TV series or play a game. But nope. I found myself making 5 cups of tea and read the entire Yours Truly in a day. If you know me, it is not often that I finished a book in a day.

Abby Jimenez's writing really fits so well. I could not stop reading. It felt like watching a movie.
It was cute, frustrating and emotional. Everything I want in a romance novel.

Finished Yours Truly with tears. Just take the 5 stars and my heart.

Thank you, Kelly Bishop for telling us the story that is your life. What an icon.

I can't decide on 4 or 4.5. But whatever rating I decide to give when I think about this tomorrow, all that matters is that, I actually thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It had dark humour, intrigued and the best Grandma anyone could ever ask for. And you know what, this book got me a bit teary at the end you know. I would tell you why but that would be a spoiler ;)

Wow. Definitely a unique and disturbing story. When I first finished it, I wasn't sure if I like it or not. I was completely stunned by the ending.

The book started strong, it will hook you right from the first page and it jumped start your sense of smell immediately. Clearly beautifully written and incredible atmospheric. I mean, as I was reading, I could almost smell the scents that he described. This horror story isn't like any other and the more you read the more you'll uncover the dark layers.

The main character, the murderer, Jean Baptiste Grenouille, is cleverly created. His obsession with scents and achieving the perfect one made him terrifying.

That said, there's a part in the middle of the book which I felt was quite draggy and the story picked up its pace again towards the end. Ahhhh the last part and the ending! I still don't know how I feel about it.

But all in all, this more than just a book, for sure. This is a work of art.

My heart. I truly love everything about this book. The romance felt natural, the friendship, the work hustle. Nothing felt forced or cringey. I've never read a romance book with beautiful fantastical element before but I'm so glad this is my first (or not, because this is setting a very high standard lol).

The love always stays.

So will my love for this book.

I love that Poirot received a challenge from a serial killer. However, I dunno, this fell slightly short for me.

3.5 stars.

Everyone in this book makes me angry except for maybe one character but it would be a spoiler to say which one lol.

Anyways, I always enjoy the darkness of humanity that John Marrs brings to his book. It brings the question of what would you do for the one you love? It can be quite scary how far you'd go.

I thought the build up took a bit longer than I would have liked. But overall, I ate this book up.
