Another fun book to listen to! Fun characters and not a dull moment in the book.
I was torn between 4 stars & 3.8 stars lol. Mainly because I don't like River. I don't hate him but I just don't like him. I do, however, love Jess & her best friend Fizzy. I would watch this as a movie. Looking forward to my next Christina Lauren.

What a story to consume! The madness of a scandal. I still can’t believe that this is NON-FICTION.
Anyways, can’t wait to watch the documentary and heard a movie about this is coming out. Let’s see how it is ;)

5 BIG FREAKING STARS.
I just wanna say, don't read the reviews lol. I don't even want to tell you what show it reminds people of. I found out because someone quoted at the back of the book and I would have loved to keep that as a surprised. I will say that go into this with as little knowledge as possible.
ANYWAYS. I don't know what to say really except this book just got me hooked from the first chapter till the very last. I won't say this is a fast-paced thriller though but it's not a slow burn either. I savoured every word in this book.
I feel like every chapter left me feeling numb in a way that I was shocked by what I read. And it's not that it has plot twists after plot twists but it's just little things that you'll learn.
I've read a bunch of domestic thriller and I will say that this is one of my top.
I cannot wait to read more from Samantha Downing.

I think I have a book hangover after this one lol.
But WHAT A RIDE.
In this book, you basically follow the journey of a bunch of people that have taken the Match Your DNA test. I absolutely love the big cast. I was worried about not being able to remember what happened to the characters while reading about the next (because I can't even remember what I had for breakfast), but John Marrs is just so masterful with this that I could remember every single storyline. This is the book where you'd go "okay let me just read one more chapter", it's addictive.
It might not be your typical thriller, but to me, it's quite original and really keep you wanting to know more. It's engaging and the short chapters always ended with me going :O
I'm happy I've finally got to read this and it deserves all the 5 stars. I cannot wait to watch the TV adaptation. And now, I'm going to see which is the next John Marrs book I should order to read!

A very charming book about the life of this little Robin bird. Even if most of the statistics are mainly UK based, it was really interesting and fun to learn about the Robin. What made this book standout for me was the inclusive of poetry, folklore and other fun facts about the Robin like why do you find Robin on Christmas cards, etc.
I don't usually comment on this but this Hardcover edition is so beautiful and it'll be a great gift to anyone you know who loves birds. Looking forward to read Stephen Moss's other works.

Hmm, I still can't decide if I love it or hate it (hate is too strong, I meant, dislike haha).
Let's start with the good stuff. Firstly, the premise alone should want you to read it. Next, I love it when a book can already grab my fullest attention right from the first chapter. (I'm sorry I'm impatient). And the fast-paced and snappy chapters, that kept me wanting to just read
one more chapter.
I enjoyed the plot twist but some stuff, especially the main thing as to why the patient was silent, that didn't live up to my expectation. That bit kinda fell flat for me and that was why I wanted to read the book after all, to find out why. I honestly don't know what would made it better but I just know that I wanted a bit more depth.
But hey, all in all. Pretty enjoyable, extremely readable thriller. If you're heading to the beach, got a long train/plane ride, I'd say you could pick this up and you'd be entertained.

Engaging, informative and eye-opener. All I need in a non-fiction book. Each chapter gives you the information of the poison and accompanied with a true crime where it was being used. Even the sciencey stuff doesn't bore me and was not hard to understand. Such an accessible book and I learnt a lot!
Oh wow. What did I just read?
I find myself unable to stop reading even if parts of this book, truly disgust me. One of the most interesting read of the year. Relatively short book but filled with such details and intrigue.
I’m sorry that I couldn’t articulate my review of the book very well but I will say that whether you liked this book or not, I can confidently say that it’ll haunt you forever. Or at least it will to me.

Binged it in two days and I must say, that was one thrilling read!
I didn’t look at any review before so I didn’t realised there’s quite a mixed reviews on this one. But no matter! I, personally, have enjoyed this thoroughly. Okay maybe except for some bits in the end that could be shorter but I don’t care. Enjoyed it. Loved it. Everything I could ask for in a thriller. My favourite trope, isolated closed circle, multiple POVs though one more couldnt hurt, and it kept me guessing and on the edge.
On to the next Ruth Ware ❤️

3.5 stars. I did it! My very first classic. And I will admit, it was a rocky start. I was not used to the language and that took me forever to read a page. But as I slowly read it, I slowly got used to it and by the half way point, it didn’t bother me anymore.
There’s no doubt that Oscar Wilde was a beautiful writer and there are so many quotes from this book that I will cherish forever.
Other than that, I love the plot and the ending could not have been more perfect for me.
