Sooo fun!!! I didn't follow all the politics and got bored by a little pocket towards the end, but aside from that this book was a blast!!! The plot was fun, the romance was DARLING, this is the 1 time I really like multiple perspectives because both of them were just so dang likeable, and I did not expect Jainan's arc and his healing but dang was it done well.

Everyone needs to read this book. I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about it for months. A book hasn't been this... just, cathartic for me in years. It feels so deeply real in a way that I've been missing in books. Definitely going to reread once I'm sure I won't bawl my eyes out again. (jk, i definitely still will)
