With its small-town setting and its family drama, Home Is Where The Bodies Are stole my heart. You will enjoy this title if you like fast-paced thrillers with jaw-dropping conclusions. Rose’s writing is very reminiscent of Sally Hepsworth’s and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Usually, I’m all in when it comes to stories about female vigilante killers. They Never Learn by Layne Fargo is a great example of how powerful that trope can be. Unfortunately, This Girl’s a Killer is not. Cordelia, the protagonist, was extremely unlikeable and came across as much younger than her stated age. The writing felt weak, and the plot was messy, which only added to my frustration. I wouldn’t recommend this one, and I don’t plan on picking up anything else by this author.
