okay so to be honest this book didn't look like much. the blurb reads: "Grace is absolutely certain of THREE things: 1. She isn't crazy. 2. Her mother was murdered. 3. Someday she is going to find the man with the scar, and then she will make him pay."
that's not the kind of thing that would make me think, "Oh wow I want to read this book" but I've already read 2 books by Ally Carter and I liked both of them, so that's what made me pick it up.
to start with, definitely typical Ally Carter as I know her. teen girl, let's introduce some other teen girls, 2 guys, and a storyline.
there definitely were aspects of the characters which I thought were very similar to Heist Society. And the whole book looked pretty predictable.
But it was so much better than just that.
I loved it. I could feel for poor Grace, all the way through the book. and the ending was not what I was expecting at all. I just really want to read the next one now, shame it doesn't come out until next year.

So I really liked this book! there were a lot of life lessons in it. The characters were great, especially Emma (who couldn't love her?) and since reading it I have a different view on babies (I'm not sure what my view is or how it has changed, but I just think about them differently). The book had a lot about Family relationships, friends, and other stuff too.

So at first this book seemed a bit slow. I didn't like Tom too much to start with (he was just too nice in a world of fighting and everything) but there was character development, and towards the end he was great. I really like Hester. The ending wasn't quite what I was expecting, but still very good.

I definitely did not enjoy Fever as much as I liked Wither. When I decided to read Wither, I was worried it was going to be depressing, but Wither wasn't. Fever was. I feel like none of the characters were developed enough. I didn't predict the twist at the end, though. but other than that the whole book was predictable.

This book was okay. I liked the way it showed how pointless wars are and all the pain they cause, and it was all laid out clearly for children. Not exactly my type of book anymore, for me it didn't move me enough or make me feel enough. It was just very slow and there wasn't terribly much to it. I liked the fact that it was historical but written in a fictional way.

It was funny. Definitely a children's book, but it was so ridiculously funny that I liked it

This is not the kind of book I would choose to read, I had to read it for the Concorde Book Awards. I guess it was okay, better than I thought it would be. But everything could have been soo much better! I didn't really enjoy reading it. I didn't like the way the author constantly used the word Hell, because it was annoyingly repetitive and there was no need for it. All on all, I didn't enjoy it much
