This book is a light read, but fun because of the time traveling element. The book had me wondering what would happen. Each of the characters was planned out nicely. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next two books to see how everything gets resolved and so I can know the secret to the secret.

This book started out very slow for me and there were a few times I wanted to mark the book as DNF, but I kept going because I heard the book was really good. About 200 or 300 pages in, I started to really get into the book. The Empire is seriously messed up and I love reading where certain societies having something dysfunctional about them, aka I really love dystopian like books. I will probably read the next book in the series.
