Georgie never believed in aliens until she is abducted one night. There are green little men and basketball head aliens who are holding these women captive and keeps them in a cage. If they make any noises, then bad things happen. Something happens to the ship and the cargo, which are the women is dropped off at a planet that is super snowy and cold. Georgie becomes the leader of the women and ventures out to find a native. She happens to meet Vektal, who believes Georgie is his mate. A romance blooms and they have to rescue the girls before the bad aliens come back.

This is told in dual point of view between Georgie and Vektal. I really enjoyed the romance and yes, it was very different. This was a very fast read and I was hooked. This book was very steamy as well. I loved the communication problems and how they are resolved. I love the kinship between the females. If you want a fast read, then this is for you and you can get it on Kindle Unlimited. I am very interested in the next 21 books and yes I have book 2 already on my kindle.

I got this book back in 2019 from Book of the Month and started it in September of 2019. I never finished it. So, I decided not long ago I would get the book off of Libby, the library app on audiobook so I can finish it. I finally finished it after over 2 years! Yay! I didn’t finish 2 years ago because I felt like it was a tad bit boring and I have a hard time not getting distracted by new books, which is why I have close to 40 unfinished books on my Goodreads Currently Reading shelf, which I really want to cut down and finish. Maybe, I will really try to do it in 2022, but I have been saying this since around 2017. I did find this book to be dull at times, but I really enjoyed the romance and will read the other books in the series.

“After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.

While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.

Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?”

I got very fortunate to get an arc of this book from the Traveling ARC program Abby hosts in her Facebook group for her books. I tried getting this book off of Netgalley and got declined and since November, I have been entering in the contests for each Traveling ARC. Annnnddd I finally got one and was sooooo excited. It totally made my day. It did take me a few days longer than I wanted to read it in because a lot of things came up, but I freaking loved this book guys. I love all of Abby’s book, but this one is my favorite one by her. It is hilarious, so relatable, and just a sweet book that you all need in your lives. I loved the growth that Alexis has to face. There is a presence of emotional and physical abuse in this book that was handled very well. Also, I loved all the animals in the book. You all need to run out and grab this book in April 2022!

“The realm of Azenor has spent years plagued by a curse. Every new moon, magic flows from the nearby mountain and brings nightmares to life. Only magicians—who serve as territory wardens—stand between people and their worst dreams.

Clementine Madigan is ready to take over as the warden of her small town, but when two magicians arrive to challenge her, she is unknowingly drawn into a century-old conflict. She seeks revenge, but as she gets closer to Phelan, one of the handsome young magicians, secrets—as well as romance—begins to rise.

To fight the realm’s curse, which seems to be haunting her every turn, Clementine must unite with her rival. But will their efforts be enough to save Azenor from the nightmares that lurk around every corner?”

I love everything that Rebecca Ross puts out. Her writing is beautiful and lush. I didn’t even know this book was even coming out until I saw someone on Instagram post about it and I was like wait, there is a new book out by Rebecca Ross? I read this as an audiobook and really enjoyed it. I loved the magic and the problems the characters were facing.

“ON NOVEMBER 22, 1963, THREE SHOTS RANG OUT IN DALLAS, PRESIDENT KENNEDY DIED, AND THE WORLD CHANGED. WHAT IF YOU COULD CHANGE IT BACK?

In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King—who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer—takes readers on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

It begins with Jake Epping, a thirty-five-year-old English teacher in Lisbon Falls, Maine, who makes extra money teaching GED classes. He asks his students to write about an event that changed their lives, and one essay blows him away—a gruesome, harrowing story about the night more than fifty years ago when Harry Dunning’s father came home and killed his mother, his sister, and his brother with a sledgehammer. Reading the essay is a watershed moment for Jake, his life—like Harry’s, like America’s in 1963—turning on a dime. Not much later his friend Al, who owns the local diner, divulges a secret: his storeroom is a portal to the past, a particular day in 1958. And Al enlists Jake to take over the mission that has become his obsession—to prevent the Kennedy assassination.

So begins Jake’s new life as George Amberson, in a different world of Ike and JFK and Elvis, of big American cars and sock hops and cigarette smoke everywhere. From the dank little city of Derry, Maine (where there’s Dunning business to conduct), to the warmhearted small town of Jodie, Texas, where Jake falls dangerously in love, every turn is leading eventually, of course, to a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald and to Dallas, where the past becomes heart-stoppingly suspenseful, and where history might not be history anymore. Time-travel has never been so believable. Or so terrifying.”

Oh my gosh, this book is beyond amazing. Not a 5 star book for me, but very close and I’ll get into that soon. First of all, I never read a Stephen King novel before this and I always said I would NEVER read a Stephen King novel. However, I saw this book on sale on Amazon Kindle and I was like fine I’ll just get it. Then, I am doing Playbookers on Facebook and a few people wanted to buddy read the book, so I decided why not. I am so glad I picked up this book. It sucks you in and never lets you go as you read. You are so invested in Jake/George’s life and is rooting for him to change the past and to have a love life. You want the best. Also, you keep thinking what is going to happen next? I did dock it half a star because I do feel like it did loose a little steam towards the end. Also, I have been watching the show as well and love the book way more. You all need this book in your life!
