I loved, loved, loved Crave when it came out. I loved Grace and Jackson so much. When I first started Crush, I couldn’t get into it. The writing felt juvenile. After awhile I got used to it and went with the flow. There is a love triangle in it and I hated it. Jackson felt very different from Crave. He was more about himself and on the controlling side. Plus, he felt like a weaker character. I felt like this was done to make the other love interest look good. However, I couldn’t connect with the other love interest and couldn’t fully trust them as a character. Right now I’m for Team Nobody. Like, I would be totally fine if Grace ends up with nobody. I enjoyed the cast of characters for the most part. The games in the book were good. I didn’t find Crush to be as exciting and nail biting like Crave. It was still enjoyable though. I most likely will continue with the series.

Thank you Kaitlyn Davis for this arc. The Hunter and the Mage follows The Raven and the Dove’s epic conclusion. I was very excited to read this book because I loved the characters so much. The world building is amazing and I loved how it expanded more in this book. We get to see a few more point of views in this book because we get to meet new characters. I really enjoyed Xander’s and Cassi’s point of views the most. The characters have grown so much since book one. I felt like this book was on the slower side, but I feel like it was really setting up for how epic the ending was. I can’t wait for book three!
This is definitely feminist and comes with the trigger warning of sexual assault. Reagan, a witch at the age of 13 casts a spell on the princesses of Ever to get back at the King for what he did to her mother. Five years later, Reagan is back to give the princesses three days before her 18th birthday to break the spells. If the spells are not broken by her 18th birthday, then the spells become true and permanent. This book follows the point of views of Jane, the oldest princess and Reagan.
If you are a fan of the book Damsel, you will love this book. It has similar vibes, but doesn’t have any weirdness. It was fun to see how Jane grew as a character. From being spoiled to having her eyes open to her world. Then, it was fun to see Reagan grow from anger to eyes opened as well. The only thing I didn’t like was how rushed the ending felt.

Shielded is about a princess who is sent to another country because she is betrothed to a prince. On the way to the country, they are attacked and she must survive on her own.
I dnfed this because I was bored with it. She was wondering around in the Wild by herself. I don’t like books like this where it is more adventure and slow.

Well Played is a continuation of Well Met, but instead of being told from the point of view of Emily, it is told from Stacey. Stacey was a tavern wench and became fast friends with Emily in Well Met. This time her story is told. Stacey has summer flings with Dex MacLean. Emily becomes engaged and on one night Stacey gets drunk on wine and sends Dex a message on the bands Facebook. She wakes up with regret, but soon gets a response. Over the next 11 months her and Dex send messages back and forth and she really gets to know him on a deeper level. Yet, what happens if the messages are not really from Dex, but from someone else?
I really loved Well Met when I first read it and was so excited to read Well Played. I tried requesting an arc for it, but got denied, so I asked my library to buy it and they did. Thankfully I got my hands on it and oh my gosh I loved it. First of all I love these books because they are set in my home state of Maryland. Anything with Maryland makes me happy. I loved that Stacey is a plus sized character. I really enjoyed seeing Simon and Emily back in the story, but in a different aspect. Stacey was a great character who had family issues with worrying over her mom’s health and feeling like she is stuck in life. She seemed relatable in my opinion. Her love interest was cute and swoon worthy. I loved when they were together. I laughed and cried a little over this book. This book was perfect. It has been a long time since I have basically read a book in a day. If I can read a book in a day, then you know I must love it. I can’t wait for Well Matched and hope to see Emily and Simon as well as Stacey and her man in the next installment.

Bethany is 30 years old and is a perfectionist. She wants to flip a house and show her brother off. Wes is 23 and is a worker for Bethany’s older brother, Stephen. Wes has eyes for Bethany. Bethany doesn’t feel the same and Wes and Bethany turn into enemies. One day Stephen starts a flip across from Bethany’s home and Bethany swaggers over and says to her brother she is going to flip a home. Wes decides to join her team and help her out. Will the do fine being so close? Wes doesn’t want much out of a relationship because he is hoping his time is short in the town and that he will only raise his five year old niece temporarily. Also, when news that the Castle siblings are both flipping houses, they end up competing against one another on a reality show. How will that go?
I really enjoyed these books. Bethany and Wes was a fun couple to read about. I loved their banter. The competition was fun. I loved the growth of both Bethany and Wes. It was fun to see Georgie and Rosie both back in the books. I wished we had more scenes with them with Bethany though. I highly recommend this series and this wrapped up the series nicely.

Jane’s father dies so her mother and Jane move from California to Maine. They move into Ruth’s (Jane’s mother) childhood home. It is old and creepy. Weird stuff starts to happen in the home. Everyone knows what happened in that house years ago, but won’t tell Jane. Jane knows nothing of the past. What will happen once she does?
Horrid definitely had a dark, creepy vibe when you read it. Jane was an interesting character. The house definitely had character too. I enjoyed the story, but I felt like the ending was abrupt and rushed.

I wanted this book so bad that I kept telling my husband to go buy it for me, but I had to wait for it from the library. It was a painstaking wait, but I’m glad I got my hands on it. When I saw the book was ready for pick up, I sent my husband to the library and they didn’t have it on the hold shelf yet. He had to ask a librarian where the book was since he knew I really wanted it. They had to go searching the back for it and I got it! Yay!
Mae goes to Park City, UT every Christmas to spend at a cabin with her family and her family’s friends. She grew up with Andrew and Theo and everyone expected Mae to end up with Theo. However, she has had a crush on Andrew ever since she was thirteen and still has it at being twenty-six. Mae is unhappy with her job, pining for Andrew, but one night after having too much egg nog, she ends up making out with Theo. The next morning he shrugs off the make out session and makes her feel crummy and she regrets it because of her feelings for Andrew. Also, the cabin is being sold. On the way to the airport, Mae sends out a wish to the universe asking the universe to show her what it is like to be happy. A truck carrying Christmas Trees slams into the car. When Mae wakes up, she is back on the plane heading to Salt Lake City. She is reliving her Christmas vacation all over again. Will things change? Will she know what it is to be happy?
I really loved In a Holidaze and am so glad that the wait for it is over. This was a cute and sweet romance. Friends to lovers. I loved Mae’s relationship with Benny and how she could tell him everything and he could offer advice. I loved how he believed her each time she time traveled and was there for her. Theo and Andrew were great characters too. I loved how blended the families were and how they loved one another. I did feel like the relationship was a smidge forced, but once it got rolling, I became invested and were rooting for them to last. I highly recommend this book and any Christina Lauren book.

Tweet Cute takes place in New York. Pepper is the daughter of the owner of Big League Burger and helps run the Twitter whenever her mother asks for it. Jack is the son of the owner of Girl Cheesed and runs their Twitter. Big League Burger comes out with a grilled cheese and noticed that they copied their grilled cheese recipe. He tweets that they stole the recipe from them. Cue a Twitter war. Also, Pepper and Jack are messaging each other on the Weasel app, but don’t know that it is each other because it is anonymous. Will sparks fly between these two?
Tweet Cute was a fun read that was cute. I enjoyed all the banter between Jack and Pepper. I didn’t like Pepper’s mom and was annoyed with her anytime she had page time. I did get a little bored with the story at times. But, this is a binge worthy read.

Of Curses and Kisses follows Jaya and Grey. Jaya is a Princess. Grey is cursed and is expecting to die on his 18th birthday. They both fall in love. What will happen?
I liked the Beauty and the Beast retelling. However, I felt like Of Curses and Kisses was slow and at times boring. Also, the ending felt anti-climatic. I am curious about the next few books.
