this book was so different than other books i’ve read by kitty, but i thoroughly enjoyed it! i loved the world building and the action-packed suspense. as always,
please check out the TWs before reading!

the beginning of this book had dialogue that felt very forced and unnatural to me, but after the halfway mark is when it started getting good. 

i fell in love with katy’s resilience to continue working through anything just to take care of penny. 🥹 there wasn’t enough groveling from richard imo! i do love how katy wormed her way into richard’s heart slowly but surely. it was beautiful reading about when richard realized his feelings for her were real. and all the effort he went to in order to keep penny company when katy couldn’t. 

i loved the bonus scenes that came with this edition of the book! it felt like an extended epilogue of them being a family. super cute!

elle mitchell is the QUEEN of angsty romances. everything that has happened to ally was so fucked up, and she came out so strong in the end. i shed a few tears for her. 🥺

i loved devon and how he became such a safe space for ally. everything that happened in between needed to happen for both of them and their growth.

i did not see the plot twist at the end, and it had my jaw dropped! i cheesed so hard about ally’s mom at the end of the book, im glad she got a little slice of their HEA.
