OMG THIS BOOK. i knew i was going to love it as soon as sarah announced the “what letters?” microtrope. this book made me ugly cry (and yes, i did text a pic to sarah lmao) from like 60% to 95% of the book.

the love leo has for darby is UNMATCHED. everything they went through omg. i cannot wait for the next book. 🥹

WOW THIS BOOK. i was in a serious 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘪 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 hangover for more than a year. and i’m so glad i was able to get an arc for this! being back in this world was a breath of fresh air. i loved seeing lach and lyla again. 🥹

and omg joss!! this poor girl has gone through the wringer. i loved finn and how he was with her every step of the way! the love they have for each other almost rivals lachlan and lyla’s.

i loved the suspense/mystery element to this book. and at 80% in, i was shaking in my boots!! i can’t believe how everything went down when joss and finn finally found what they were looking for.

also, special shoutout to theo. 🥹 i love that little man so much!

this is madison’s debut novel and i loved it! i’ve never read a book that was mythology based, and i was so interested in the siren and selkie lore!

i loved reading about ellie and lawson’s relationship blooming. it was quite funny when he was making fun of her purple sweater. 😂 i did feel a little bit sad about noah and caitlin. 😭 the ending had me SHOOK!! i need to read book 2 already!! i’m hoping to get more info on the siren and selkie lore in the next book, i used to be huge on mythology when i was younger so this book brought back fun memories!

also side note, i think i saw a selkie coat washed up on shore in mexico a few years ago. 👀
