i didn’t really know what to expect from walsh and madison’s book. i didn’t really care for walsh as a side character and i HATED maddy. but!! maddy’s redemption arc in this book was insane. in a good way.

i had no idea that she had gone through all of that in her childhood and as an adult. this book definitely made me understand her more as a person. and i ain’t mad at her redemption arc!

walsh and madison are as broken as two people can be. and all their broken pieces fit together perfectly to make one whole piece. 🥹

- mafia lifestyle
- forced marriage
- stalking
- childhood trauma
- abusive parents
- bully romance

The Wedding Date Disaster

DID NOT FINISH: 4%

The way the dialogue is written with ' instead of " is really confusing to me. I had to reread pages several times because I didn't realize the characters were talking and that was only 4% in. I have to DNF for this reason, otherwise this book would take me 2 weeks to read this because I'd be rereading each page multiple times to catch the dialogue.

this was the PERFECT ending to the reaper duet. i was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE time.

kaden and layla are so perfect for each other. i would love to read a novella or bonus chapter of my favorite side character, ethan. the things they all went through together made my heart break. and layla is such a strong FMC. she's better than me, i would've never forgiven the people that forced her to go through what she went through.

ketley never misses and i'm so happy valentine gave me the opportunity to arc read this one!

maxine (max) has run away from her abusive fiancé and her family to a small peaceful town. she meets 3 guys who are all MMA fighters and they’re all so protective of her. 🥹

i love how max was able to find herself after leaving and how the guys all picked up her broken pieces without knowing what was going on.

drew, caine, and adam all have such different personalities, but they all fit together with max.

this was such a beautiful story and i can’t wait to see what happens next!

i love how over-the-top hayden is over a girl he saw one time. him and madison are so perfect for each other. 🥹

i also can’t wait for tristan and winter’s book! they were the side characters that i was most intrigued by, so i hope their book is next. 👀

I LOVED THIS BOOK omg. i go absolutely feral for a marriage of convenience romance!

jewel and eli are a match made in heaven (or hell, however you wanna look at it). i am so obsessed with both of them and jewel's full name? chef's kiss. who names their kid jewel diamond? i love it haha.

i honestly didn't know what to expect of the ending, but it really caught me by surprise. whoever came up with that was a mastermind!

there were so many times where i was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next.

the writing reminded me of SJM, so if you’re a fan of hers, i would definitely recommend this book! i loved all the banter.
