I was not expecting to fly through this so fast! I should have been expecting it since the exact same thing happened with both of the other Brown Sisters books last year, but here we are

This is such a beautiful book. All Boys Aren’t Blue should be read by every LGBTQ+ kid. As a white person I obviously can’t relate to the intersections of identity Johnson talks about, but hearing him talking about the queer side of things was so validating even as an adult. I wish I’d had this book when I was younger, but it brings me immense joy to know that the next generation of LGBTQ+ kids will have it. I hope this book becomes a modern classic, one that gets assigned to be read in schools. I think this would have such an impact for a younger audience. I won’t say much more, mainly because I don’t know how to talk about how All Boys Aren’t Blue made me feel, but I do think this is one that everyone should read regardless of background.

A Psalm for the Wild-Built is one of those books that nestled its way in and found a home inside my soul. I both wish it were infinitely longer while also knowing it was perfectly enough as it is. I don’t know how to explain the feelings this book has brought out, and I can’t say for sure whether everyone who reads this will feel this sort of kinship with the main character. But for those who do share the same sentiments as Dex, this book will make you feel seen in a way that is impossible to describe. An instant favourite; A Psalm for the Wild-Built is a story that will never leave me no matter how many other stories I live in. Absolute perfection!

Cute and interesting, but I'm a little confused. It'll probably clear up in the later volumes :3
