I really enjoyed the concept behind this book as it mixed high fantasy adventure with reality. The mix of traditional novel format and graphic novel format was also really fun. The writing was dry at times and heavily relies on plot progression with minimal character development. However, the characters are unique, mixed race, and deeply loyal to friends. I think it would make a really cool TV series.
