Wow - another great world-building book in the Ender-verse. It is in this book that I think you really start to see the beginnings of the changes that lead to Ender's world, and its governments, policies, and traditions. Learning more about the formics through fascinating characters who are racing to develop a defense, military operations finding new ways to fight, and events occurring that are only just referenced in Ender's Game, finally explained.
