An interesting novel. It is referred to as a "fairy tale", and I totally get that. Everything seems so ephemeral and it is hard to tell if you're reading a story as told by somebody there, or a story that was passed down three or four times. Definitely enjoyable.
Loved this book. Moses Sweetland is a flawed man but his story was engaging and beautiful.
Amazing, beautiful book. It's focus on the lives of old men and a woman who just want to escape the rigid expectations of society and to live their lives, and die, with dignity. This book was hauntingly written and was very impactful.
An amazing novel about immigration, family, and love. The highly distilled writing makes each chapter, whether a few sentences or a few paragraphs, reflect emotions with a certain strength and clarity. An amazing read.
