Can't tell if I really loved it that much or Julia Whelan's narration gaslit me into thinking I did. Maybe I have become an Emily Henry girlie after all.
Probably the first time I've genuinely liked an Eloisa James book?
Still has a lot of the same problems I had with her other books I've read. Dialogue and pacing is weird (I have such whiplash with the way these characters speak), felt too anticlimactic, over the top without any real comedic levity, etc. But I did enjoy myself! Just not enough for any more stars.

I feel like there are three really great separate books here that never quite came together as a full package for me. Still, I really did enjoy a lot of it, and the two narrators are really strong.
