These books are making me happy and I think that's all I wanted from them, so full stars for making me squee and feel warm and fuzzy in these complicated times.

It was a fun read. I wanted to care more about the characters, but it's not that kind of book. But if you're looking for a fun, escapist gothic fiction that gives a backstory to characters barely developed in the source book, this is fun.

This feels like the book I needed to read right now. There's something soothing and reassuring about the way Robinson writes about love and faith and family. I loved it. So Much. I want everyone to read this book and I'll probably reread it many times in the future.
