3.5 stars. A good fun read. Not as quirky good as Eleanor and Park but some of the same feels.

I’m glad I listened to this as an audiobook. So many who didn’t care for this book cite it’s length, slow pace. I enjoyed it. The writing reminded me of “A Little Life”. This book will definitely stay with me, although I doubt I would ever push anyone to read it.

So hard to rate. Writing was thoughtful but subject matter so difficult. Will definitely read more of Didion’s work.
