We love these books across the board but this one brought a fresh round of deep belly laughs. This series makes my youngest want to read and they keep her parents entertained while she practices. Thank you Mr. Willems.

Book binge. Like a really good brain vacation. Fun book to round out the year.

2.5 stars? I know I'm supposed to like this book, but it was just not my kind of book. Definitely good writing. Good character development considering short length of book. Maybe with a book group to be able to discuss? But by myself I am left unresolved.

After talking to a coworker about her similar fondness for this author, she loaned me her first two books. (Thanks Sam) This is my third book by Reid, and as I read them, at some point I always think how gimmicky they are, but shortly after I don't care because she is a good writer and I trust her that there's always going to be more than just a gimmick by the time the book is done. This story of Elsie and romance with Ben is no exception. A fast and easy read, and the mother-in-law and library curmudgeon storylines are the icing on the cake.

3.5 stars. Thank to the publisher for a copy of this book. Four girls, each named Guenevere, arrive at a convent. This book describes the family they make for each other as they mourn the loss of their families, navigate adolescence, and dream of future families they will have. If you love action-packed and plot driven, this is maybe not a novel for you. But given the quality of writing and unique setting and plot, I will definitely look for future books from this author.
