I...don't really know how to review this. Even my star rating feels arbitrary. I didn't really get into the rhythm until halfway through the book but once I was there I think I finally started to get it. What it was, I haven't the foggiest idea. Something between yearning and aching, I'm not even sure myself.

One of those stories that is so important, and so appalling in terms of sheer incompetence, callousness, and disregard for facts, science, or children's safety. That being said the writing is, at times, a bit dry or hard to keep track of the many characters, but still a book that should be read to understand the malicious origins of the vaccine hesitancy pandemic.

A short but very satisfying story set in an interesting universe with just enough detail to interpret but plenty of room to color in. I liked the author's approach of making these mythical beasts into, essentially, large animals with no human intent or malice. Good read!

Good! It's good! Really has that distinct Japanese novel flavor I've seen often. Sentimental, warm, and very sweet. I like this take on time travel quite a bit.

QUIT TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE'S TOES, QUIT SUCKING PEOPLE'S TOES, I DON'T WANNA HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT TOES!

Totally ass writing, beyond annoying characters, and not even half as crazy and kinky as I was lead to believe. Like Christian Grey is just a rich abusive boyfriend with a couple props, whateverrrrr

May read the next ones simply because lol, great book to take screenshots of and send to your friends to have them scream

Definitely think I was lacking crucial context for this book considering the original poem and not much knowledge of Argentinian literature but idk, didn't do much for me here as a standalone work. I get and respect the attempt to position the reader outside the world in the last part but it just became such word slurry to me combined with the extremely long sentences.

Well, Argentinian book for the reading challenge donezo, I think the best part of this book was just prompting me to google about Argentinian fauna, vizcachas are super cute!

If I had read these books as a kid when they came out it they would have reshaped my personality, I can tell. Bonus points for something bisexual afoot, these were totally fun to zip through

One of those books where I was left unsure how to feel about it but the thing is, all these months later, I still think about it.
