“You never were, nor will you ever be, fucking Frankenstein!”
I don’t know if this was good, like in the classic sense, but it kicked ass and I sure did enjoy reading it.

An absolute nothingburger of a comic I fear, tropes kinda boring, never any real conflict or plotlines (paired with a lack of humor, and its rare moments are just "smol bean" and "head empty" kinda humor), art and environment that never really is very interesting or changes, yum yum yum!
I theorize all the five star reviews are from like queer 12-13 year olds who are discovering themselves and see something positive in this (which I love and support them for) or people who enjoy just saucelesss content which is valid I suppose but man......my adult ass needs something more to chew on

If this takes place during covid why is NOBODY wearing a MASK!!!! SUPERSPREADERS ALERT!!!
Vlad! Be careful! If you keep posing with your neck at a 90 degree angle you’re gonna hurt yourself!
Tfw a book is meant to be relatable about the struggles of college but your freshmen year of college was such a huge disaster and year of isolation ur like oh my god what I wouldn’t have done to have a roommate I was on speaking terms with
I don't feel like judging if this book is good or bad tbh, it was my audiobook of the week I listened to while working, I just think I’m always going to be on the side of freakin it with aliens who are alien 👍
However I DO feel as if I got a more than adequate description of eyeballs so for sure will not need them described in the sequel if I listen

Now THAT is some toxic yaoi (but also it’s great to see men explore their feelings in a healthy and productive manner unencumbered by society and gender roles!!)
I feel so mean because putting together any project, especially a comic project, is a huge undertaking but I am beyond baffled at the really high ratings. I am familiar with webtoons (and familiar with the harsh deadlines and need to take shortcuts in the art) and even while people's main complaint seemed to be the art I actually had less problem with the art than with the story.
Wtf is this story? It's my understanding it was adapted from a novel but whoever adapted it definitely struggled or the source material must not have been particularly good because the way characters interact feels incredibly odd. The pacing is pretty ass, we either spend way too long in arguments with crappy quips or we spend not nearly enough time illustrating characters growing attached to one another so when it's made clear they are attracted to another it just feels kind of random. They keep talking a partnership and it's like...what partnership? You've known this guy for a few days and all you've done is fight and not even in a flirty way.
Also the whole werewolves and vampires being space aliens thing is genuinely such a stupid idea that it rounds back around to being hilarious so I suppose I can't even complain. But everytime it's attempted to be played seriously I'm like...he is literally a werewolf alien this is silly!! This should be a comedy not a drama!!
I guess what I'm saying is if you LOVE the source material then read this, people seem to like it!
If you're like me and you just love graphic novels and thought you'd pick this up then I'm gonna recommend you put it back down. And also my library's copy must be new because it's still got that new colored-comic book smell to it and dang that shit stanky
