I think I’m settling on 3 stars for this? I didn’t care much about the actual storyline, but the spicy scenes were very much for me (which let’s be honest is what I read it for). I would definitely read more from Katee Robert!
I honestly don’t understand why this book got such low ratings. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and I didn’t come across any parts where I was bored. I’ll admit I did get annoyed at Snow a few times in the book especially when she first came to Algid. It seemed like she wasn’t thinking about anything she was doing and was making the worst decisions possible. That had me really frustrated but she got better with that toward the end. Overall I think this book was very entertaining and a very fun twist on my favorite fairytale. I wasn’t aware that this is a series but I’m hoping that all the low ratings don’t stop the second book from coming out soon. I want to know what happens next!!

The reveals at the end earned the .5 stars, but it didn’t completely make up for the fact that the characters were bland, the romance was forced, and the magic system was way too chaotic and hodgepodge for my liking.

This book was so cool! It is told in a compilation of files, transcripts, emails, etc. which was so fun and interesting to read. It was also way funnier than I expected it to be! It made me laugh out loud so much. I loved Kady and Ezra and it was surprising how developed their characters were when the book wasn't even told in a traditional format. The AI, AIDAN was also a really cool aspect to the story and I loved reading its character development as the story progressed. There were a couple of things I didn't particularly love about the ending but overall this book was everything I could have wanted. It was funny, intense, kept me on the edge on my seat, and hit me with plot twists I didn't see coming. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
This book was truly incredible. Malala will always be one of my biggest inspirations.
If you liked Looking For Alaska or Paper Towns you would definitely like this one. It gave me the exact same feelings that I had while reading those two. I absolutely loved it. It was so honest and it made me think about a lot of things. I would highly recommend everyone read this one!!
